Many people get stuck at this point in the process because they\u2019re terrified of making the \u201cwrong choice\u201d. <strong>Don\u2019t be afraid to dive in and figure it out as you go. We all do that.<\/strong> Better to do that than to do nothing at all. Just go for it!<\/p>\n<p><em><b>To blog on purpose<\/b> <\/em>is you can get your keyword ranked on the search engines so people will find your blog<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Think about what that person would search for if they were looking for a site like yours. For example, what are the words or phrases they would type into Google to find your site? Maybe they would enter \u201ceasy knitting patterns,\u201d \u201cfrugal living,\u201d \u201cstay at home dad\u201d or \u201cblogging tutorials.\u201d Those are keywords.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Blog Writing Tip: Imagine The Person You\u2019re Writing To<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><em><strong>To Blog on purpose<\/strong> <\/em>keep your writing clear and focused, imagine a person in your head that is your ideal reader.\u00a0Think up an image of them. What color is their hair? Their eyes? What\u2019s their name? What do they do for a living? Are they married? Do they have children? You might even draw a picture and stick \u2018em on the wall above your computer<\/h3>\n<h2><strong>Rock your ninja-ness<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em><strong>Let your personality shine through your blog<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0If you\u2019re goofy, be goofy. If you\u2019re feisty, be feisty. If you\u2019re contemplative, be contemplative. Your readers will be drawn to what you have to say, but they will also be drawn to who you are. BE YOU.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Even if you think you\u2019re only pretty good, but not a ninja, you\u2019re still a ninja to someone<\/strong><\/em>. Find that thing about which you have a decent amount of know-how and go with it. Chances are there are others who will appreciate what you have to say.<\/p>\n<h2><b>What are you already doing in life that you could write about and help others at the same time?<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Are you a Stay at home parent with tips on keeping the kids focused on school or fun activities<\/li>\n<li>Are you retired with tips how to stay active?<\/li>\n<li>Are you someone that is passionate about health and fitness?<\/li>\n<li>Are you Public Speaker with tips on becoming a great speaker?<\/li>\n<li>Do you garden, what tips do you have to share?<\/li>\n<li>What are your hobbies?<\/li>\n<li>Are you someone who loves connecting with people on Facebook? What tips to have to share?<\/li>\n<li>Are you a photogragher? I\u2019m sure you have some great tips.<\/li>\n<li>Are you affiliate marketer? What review of products can you share?<\/li>\n<li>Are you network marketer? What products are you passionate about?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What is a niche?<\/h3>\n<p>Your blog\u2019s general topic is often called a niche. While not required, a niche provides focus and direction, making your blog\u2019s purpose easily understood and defined, not only by you, but by your visitors as well. Some examples of popular niches are making money online, food, decorating, memoirs, homeschooling, fitness or weight loss, parenting, photography, etc.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Here are some other questions to get your creative juices flowing.. In the end, make a list of 3-5 topics you really, really love. Go ahead, dream!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>What enjoyable activity do you get so involved in that you frequently lose track of time?<\/li>\n<li>If you were given one week to spend any way you liked (and all your responsibilities were taken care of), what would you do?<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li>What do you do consistently in your free time simply because you enjoy it?<\/li>\n<li>What do you purposefully make time for not because you have to but because you want to?<\/li>\n<li>If money was not an issue, what activity would you spend time doing more regularly?<\/li>\n<li>What do people say you are good at and appreciate about you?<\/li>\n<li>What makes you over-the-top excited, angry or emotional?<\/li>\n<li>What kinds of books do you read, TV shows do you watch or blogs\/websites do you visit?<\/li>\n<li>What\u2019s your favorite hobby?<\/li>\n<li>What do you talk to your friends about?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Now, let\u2019s think about what your Readers want\u2026.<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>They want you to relieve their fears.<\/li>\n<li>They want to learn something new<\/li>\n<li>They want to reach their goals.<\/li>\n<li>Readers love to be entertained<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Blogging on purpose<\/strong> is about your passions, your reader\u2019s interest and what people are searching for online. I bet now you have some many great ideas, your creative mind is working at a lighting speed \u2026<\/p>\n<p><b>Just be flexible what you write on your blog and take advantage of ways to be different. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Here\u2019s what\u2019s Funny; when I first started blogging I didn\u2019t see myself as a teacher or marketer.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>At least that is what I told myself.<\/p>\n<p>At first it was a struggle\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>I would tell myself my subscribers won\u2019t actually read what I\u2019m writing; I was placing a mental block on my creative thinking.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>When I started blogging with MY purpose<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s when I had the proverbial<em><strong> \u201cAHA!\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>moment. I finally knew what I was doing was actually WORTH something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What I found out more about myself is that I am a person who cares about people. It\u2019s Ok to Pitch yourself (and your company) When you truly care about what you do!<\/p>\n<p>See, I\u2019m interested in a lot of things.
