It\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day and for some of us it\u2019s a day full of joy and happiness and lots of love. To some it\u2019s a day to be reminded that we feel alone and unloved. I am\u00a0sharing these Bible verses and Valentine\u2019s poems\u00a0for those of you who can relate to the latter. I want you to know that you are not alone and you are loved more than you can even imagine.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cJesus said to him,\u201d \u2018You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.\u2019\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

And the second is like it: \u2018You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’\u201d <\/span>
\n~Matthew 27:37, 39<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.\u201d<\/span>

God\u2019s Valentine Gift<\/b><\/span>

God\u2019s Valentine gift of love to us<\/span>
\nWas not a bunch of flowers;<\/span>
\nIt wasn\u2019t candy, or a book<\/span>
\nTo while away the hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

His gift was to become a man,<\/span>
\nSo He could freely give<\/span>
\nHis sacrificial love for us,<\/span>
\nSo you and I could live.<\/span><\/p>\n

He gave us sweet salvation, and<\/span>
\nInstruction, good and true\u2013<\/span>
\nTo love our friends and enemies<\/span>
\nAnd love our Savior, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

So as we give our Valentines,<\/span>
\nLet\u2019s thank our Lord and King;<\/span>
\nThe reason we have love to give<\/span>
\nIs that He gave everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Valentines Day, we show our love;<\/span>
\nWe express our deep affections.<\/span>
\nThose who are important to us<\/span>
\nGet cards and sweet confections.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Christian love is not just for<\/span>
\nThe ones we hold most dear;<\/span>
\nJesus said \u201clove everyone;\u201d<\/span>
\nHe made that very clear.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Christians, it is every day<\/span>
\nWe should care and love and serve<\/span>
\nEveryone we meet in life,<\/span>
\nWhether they do or don\u2019t deserve.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s follow Jesus\u2019 good command<\/span>
\nTo love everyone we meet.<\/span>
\nValentine\u2019s Day every day<\/span>
\nWill make life twice as sweet.<\/span><\/p>\n
