All right! I\u2019m about to get a little political here and also a little sappy.<\/p>\n
I try to avoid political blogs because I get my panties in a wad really fast and I have a lot of trouble engaging my brain to mouth (well finger) filters.<\/p>\n
Yesterday was Independence Day here in the U.S.A.<\/p>\n
I love my country.<\/p>\n
I love what it stands for.<\/p>\n
I love that our forefathers had this amazing, creative vision that is the United States of America.<\/p>\n
I think, if George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams \u2013 you know the guys! \u2013 could see what is going on right now\u2026.<\/p>\n
\u2026.they\u2019d be rolling in their damn graves!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n I am sickened and disturbed at the bi-partisanship on Capitol Hill.<\/p>\n I would like the politicians of today to wake up and realize that it is not about a power struggle between the Democrats and Republicans with a sprinkling of other guys on the side.<\/p>\n Stonewalling is nothing but ego.<\/p>\n Regardless of their political stance, our forefathers worked together<\/em><\/span> to create a strong nation. <\/strong><\/p>\n They fought for each other<\/span>. They died for each other<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Because the most important thing to them, was our freedom.<\/p>\n To be free from tyranny and\u00a0oppression.<\/p>\n What I want is a leader who asks us, as American citizens, to take responsibility for our own actions and then leads by example!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I will celebrate the day that there is no one among the candidates willing to throw his own Granny under the bus before acknowledging his own mistakes\u2026.Newt, I\u2019m throwin\u2019 the stink eye in your direction buddy.<\/p>\n And I want American citizens who WANT to take responsibility for their own actions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n If you are down, it is not The MAN keeping you down.<\/p>\n YOU are keeping YOU down!<\/p>\n But, Joe Six Pack aka John Q. Public and Sarah Palin\u2019s pet name (gag and double gag!) for all of the hardworking, blue collar folks of America. Middle class, Average Joe Six Pack.<\/p>\n It was disgusting as hell but people ate it up and they didn\u2019t even realize that they were being\u00a0oppressed.<\/p>\n People. PLEASE. I BEG YOU! Don\u2019t get sucked into the Average Joe Six Pack bullshit!!!!<\/p>\n Our forefathers were certainly not quailing under their blue collars.<\/p>\n They were out there screaming from the rooftops:<\/p>\n And for the record, our forefathers weren\u2019t just the guys who signed the Declaration of\u00a0Independence. Our forefathers are all of the men, women and children that knew how important it was to be free and went after it!!! They took it and they made it their own they passed it on to us and too many of us have forgotten what it\u2019s all about.<\/p>\n It\u2019s about everyone! Equality, helping everyone to succeed. There is more than enough for everybody if only those who do not have will realize that they deserve and can have, and those who will not give, to realize that it is our duty to share what we know.<\/p>\n \u201cGive us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n What legacy will we leave?<\/p>\n The legacy of Joe Six Pack held down by his own fear and the belief that wealth and abundance are somehow only for somebody else?<\/p>\n What is the qualifier for one person to somehow be better than another?<\/p>\n Whatever it is you want in life\u2026go get it!!!\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Do you want to work from home<\/a>? <\/strong><\/p>\n Then do it!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Lay the foundation and do it!<\/p>\n It\u2019s not for \u201csome day\u201d. \u201cSome day\u201d, may never come.<\/p>\n It\u2019s for right now!!!<\/p>\n Want to be your own boss?<\/strong><\/p>\n Again, lay the foundation\u2026.and do it! \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n It isn\u2019t going to fall in your lap.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n GO GET IT!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n You have the right to be happy. You have the right to be free.\u00a0<\/strong>But nobody owes<\/em> that to you.<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t reach out for it, it will pass you by again and again until you reach into your heart, find your courage and grab it!<\/p>\n You have to go get it! And when you have it, be grateful every moment for what you have accomplished. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I chose to be a stay at home mom. I own two businesses.<\/p>\n I was scared.<\/p>\n I was broke.<\/p>\n I was Joe.<\/p>\n Scared to death to leave a career and stay home with my kids. But my husband and I knew in our hearts it was the right thing for our family.<\/p>\n Now\u2026.<\/p>\n We choose to go to the zoo or the Dinosaur museum with my kids.<\/p>\n We choose amusement parks and camping trips and vacations.<\/p>\n We choose to buy brie instead of cheddar if it strikes us to do so.<\/p>\n We\u2019re not rolling in the dough, but we are truly blessed.<\/em><\/p>\n I\u2019m grateful to have discovered the Empower Network<\/a> Team, a broad and diverse group of people who have gone after their dream and who hold each other up in support of our dreams!<\/p>\n And we get there dammit!!<\/strong><\/p>\n We play and we live because our \u201cwork\u201d doesn\u2019t feel like \u201cwork\u201d because we love what we do!<\/p>\n\u00a0Our forefathers had a vision and a dream!<\/h3>\n
