Squidoo.com is one of those popular sites where people go in search of information \u2013 in other words, your market. It\u2019s a great place to go if you\u2019re looking for more clients, if you\u2019re a blogger and wanting to build an audience, or if you are an affiliate marketer wanting to expand your reach. Squidoo<\/strong> can help you achieve your goals.<\/p>\n

Squidoo was founded by Seth Godin.\u00a0 It is a user-generated collection of mini-pages which are called lenses. Lenses are constantly being added to the million or more which are already on there. it\u2019s a great place to go to find out about all sorts of things from how to bait a hook to building a cubbyhouse. It is a one-stop-shop for everyone.<\/p>\n

If you are a business owner, then there are several reasons Squidoo should be on your radar:<\/span><\/p>\n

Many thousands of people visit Squidoo every day, which makes it one of the most visited sites in the world (ranking in the top 200, according to Alexa.com).<\/p>\n

Firstly, choose an appropriate username. You have choices \u2013 choose your own name, a nickname, or a keyword type name.<\/p>\n

Secondly, provide your email address and create a password. Squidoo<\/em> doesn\u2019t spam you. You can also request their daily \u201cLens of the Day\u201d emails if you like, but it\u2019s not essential.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve completed your sign-up, you will have to confirm your email address.\u00a0 And then you\u2019ll be invited to build your first lens which is a Squidoo-type\u00a0 mini site.<\/p>\n

More than one Squidoo Account?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Good news \u2013 you can have more than one Squidoo account with the ability to create more than one lens per account. You simply sign up for extra ones using different email addresses.\u00a0 This is handy if you\u2019re working in different niches.<\/p>\n

You can create separate accounts and user names for each niche.<\/p>\n

But, on the other side of the coin, there are benefits to building a lot of lenses in the same account. You can accumulate brownie points. This gives you more visibility over time. Once you have at least 50 really great lenses in the one account, you can apply to get promoted to be a Giant Squid. This is a status which comes with special privileges \u2013 promotion of your lenses, no daily lens limit, a custom lens template, and free advertising.<\/p>\n
