Do the thing you fear<\/h2>\n

How crazy does that sound? It\u2019s like saying, just jump and you won\u2019t be afraid of heights anymore\u2026.:)<\/p>\n

But when you really think about it, it\u2019s so very true.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been struggling with something lately, wondering how I was going to get all the things on my to do list done. I was afraid of getting them done in time, I was afraid of letting someone down. I was afraid of not saying the right thing to someone in an email, and so I was frozen.<\/p>\n

Let me tell you\u2026 that feeling of being frozen is so much worse than the fear of getting it done. So today, I got up, and aggressively attacked my to do list. One of which was to write this blog about fear.<\/p>\n

Ironic, isn\u2019t it. \":)\"<\/p>\n

Then this popped up on Facebook:<\/p>\n

WHAMO\u2026.this hit me hard.<\/p>\n

How long had I been putting off getting some of this stuff done because of some fear or another\u2026. a long time.<\/p>\n

Being stuck is a decision. It\u2019s a decision or lack of a decision to take action.<\/p>\n

Right now, about 6 hours into my day, I\u2019ve gotten so much stuff done and the best part of it all is that the momentum that I\u2019ve created causes me to get things done faster! I\u2019m focused. I\u2019m getting tasks done, and when things come up that even yesterday I would have paused to find \u2018the best way\u2019, I\u2019m just getting it done.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve heard people say that as you take action, the world starts to meld into your goals, your vision and your ambition. I didn\u2019t really believe that until today\u2026<\/p>\n

Imagine this\u2026you\u2019re putting off send an email because you\u2019re not sure what to write. When you don\u2019t send an email, nothing else happens. No other steps that are subsequent to that email being sent will take place\u2026 because no action has been taken.<\/p>\n

Now, take that same email that you need to send, write the main points that you need to get across and click send. You might think \u201cwhat if what I said isn\u2019t 100% accurate\u201d\u2026 or\u2026\u201dwhat if my words are misinterpreted\u201d\u2026 or \u2026 \u201cwhat if I make someone mad\u201d \u2026.. (this list of what ifs can go on for ever)<\/p>\n

How about this.. you just do it. Then if someone gets mad, you handle that one thing. If they ask a question to clarify, you clarify, and if necessary, resend your email. OR if someone points out a fact that you got wrong, use it as a way to draw humor at your self and say something like \u201cwell, this is the first time that I\u2019ve EVER been wrong\u201d. You\u2019ve heard the phrase \u201cI was wrong once, but then I found out I was wrong about that too\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

Life isn\u2019t about being perfect. It\u2019s about living. I bet you can talk to everyone that has done something that was wrong and they got a laugh out of it, and I bet that they learned more from being wrong that from being right!<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m not right all the time by any means, but I do know that there is a HUGE movement going on the web right now. There\u2019s something coming that\u2019s going to be so huge that it\u2019s like a tilde wave roaring toward the shore\u2026. You can either be on a surf board and ride it in or you can be on the shore watching someone else ride it in.<\/p>\n
