Wait.. was that an instant message that popped up<\/p>\n
Oh.. they\u2019re online\u2026 I better say hi<\/p>\n
This is the only TV show I want to watch\u2026.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
This stuff pops up in front of you all day long looking for your attention and trying to steal away your progress.<\/p>\n
How do you keep focused and stay on task to GSD or as I like to say \u2018Get Shit Done\u2019?<\/p>\n

When you make a plan to get done what you need to get done and you focus on those tasks that make up that plan, you actually get stuff done.<\/p>\n

For me, the best way to make progress is to make a list the night before of what I know I want to get done tomorrow.<\/p>\n
I actually put these things into a task list on my phone. \u00a0I down loaded an app and put each item in the task list.<\/p>\n
Then I work on that list throughout the day. \u00a0Most days. I get everything on that list done.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the key that I\u2019ve found: don\u2019t put things on that list that are bigger than what you can get done in one day. \u00a0If it\u2019s too big of a task, you have to break it down into smaller pieces.<\/p>\n
For example. \u00a0I\u2019ve been working on my marketing plan for my business. \u00a0This is a multi day task. \u00a0It\u2019s broken down into 3 parts. \u00a0Part 1, identify who my ideal customer is. \u00a0Part 2, write down what my ideal customer likes\/dislikes and what their problem is. \u00a0Part 3, write down what I have that will solve their problem.<\/p>\n
To really define my customer, I need to do that correctly and take my time to be sure it\u2019s write. \u00a0But I won\u2019t go to bed until I\u2019ve checked it off my list.<\/p>\n
Making progress is not about getting it perfect. \u00a0Don\u2019t get stuck in analysis paralysis. \u00a0Decide, take action and adjust as you go along. \u00a0If you don\u2019t get it right, your adjustments along the way will correct your course.<\/p>\n
