Google\u00a0announced a new Hangouts Capture app Tuesday, a new way for Google Hangouts users to capture photos of a Hangout in progress so they can relive the magic of the event later on.<\/p>\n
\u201cGoogle+ Hangouts bring people together, and when they do, all sorts of awesome can unfold,\u201d Google\u2019s Jeremy Ng\u00a0said in a Google+ post\u00a0announcing the app.\u201d<\/p>\n
The app lets Hangout users take photos of a Hangout in progress, saving all of those photos to a shared folder available to all Hangout invitees. Photos can be viewed while you\u2019re in the Hangout, while you\u2019re browsing through your photo albums, and by visiting the original Hangout post on Google+.<\/p>\n
The new tool is not intended for taking secret shots. All Hangout attendees will be notified that the app is in use when they join a hangout, and will receive a notification when a photo is taken, as well as access to that photo.<\/p>\n
The Hangouts Capture app will be available worldwide soon within the traditional Hangouts app, alongside YouTube and Effects.<\/p>\n
