Dear God,<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t understand a lot of\u00a0 what you do and I don\u2019t understand why you allow certain things to happen.<\/p>\n
I know I\u2019m just a man and I\u2019m not arrogant enough to say that you answer to me, but I wish I could understand a little bit more.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s hard sometimes being human, we are so limited in our understanding.<\/p>\n
You can see the end result, you can see the outcome. I suppose it\u2019s like when I read a book if I know the ending, I can get through all the difficult, horrible bits with a knowledge that it will all work out in the end.<\/p>\n
When I look at my life, I think of all the stupid stuff I\u2019ve done, all the selfish things I\u2019ve done, all the people I\u2019ve hurt along the way.<\/p>\n
Sometimes life hasn\u2019t felt like it would work out for me, but I know that you can see what happens to me.<\/p>\n
As I write this God, I am\u00a0welling up with tears. I didn\u2019t think my life would be quite like this. I\u2019ve tried to do my best and be a good person, but I have failed many times, sometimes quite spectacularly.<\/p>\n
I know through it all that you have kept loving me and I know that you keep forgiving me.<\/p>\n
I wish sometimes I could get\u00a0 glimpse of my future, just for a bit of reassurance that it will all work out and that I\u2019m on the right path. Please guide me.<\/p>\n
God, I do believe in you, I know a lot of people don\u2019t and they have their reasons. I just pray and hope that I won\u2019t be one of those reasons. I hope that some people will believe in you because of how I live my life.<\/p>\n
Help me deal with my weaknesses. I think of times that I lash out at Kerry and speak to her in a rude and disrespectful manner, she was a gift from you and sometimes I don\u2019t look after or honour that gift. Please help me.<\/p>\n
I do often go off and do my own thing, ignoring your quiet whisper. I wish to walk more and more on your path. But it\u2019s hard, it\u2019s hard at times being human.<\/p>\n
You know when I get mad I swear, I wish I didn\u2019t. I pray that my mouth would become pure and good. I pray that the words I speak will bring life and light to the people around me.<\/p>\n
God, thank you for reading my letter. Please hear my heart.<\/p>\n
