Hi there. I wanted to share a true story with you about pure intention.<\/p>\n
I lived with my two brothers and my younger sister in UK around 1974 I think it was. I had been taking a course to improve my communication ability and part of this couse was to drill one\u2019s ability to get a pure INTENTION across , which is in fact the carrier of the communication. The words said being a secondary factor. It is the INTENTION which is key.<\/p>\n
One day I came home from school to find my younger siser in tears and very sad as her Guinea-pig was very sick. The guinea-pig\u2019s name was Punky due to all the rosettes in her fur. I learned from my parents that Punky was very sick and the vet had said she would most likely not survive the night. A prolapsed rectum in a guinea-pig was not handleable or operable. Punky suffered from a\u00a0prolapsed rectum.\u00a0(caution the images in the link are not nice!). It is a state whare the rectum is pushed outside the body by the rectal muscles normally uses by\u00a0p\u00e9ristalsis\u00a0to send food through the intestine. Punky was lying, breathing shallow with the prolapse showing from her bum. I looked at her and she looked at me\u2026.\u00a0A prolapsed rectum in a guinea-pig was not handleable or operable. \u2018Nothing\u2019 could be done for her.<\/p>\n
Mum called us for dinner so we left Punky to eat but no-one was really hungry. Dinner was pretty much silent punctuated occasionaly with the sobs of my baby sister, who was sure Punky was going to die. My parents were also pretty much resigned to the fact also. The atmosphere was pretty dense.<\/p>\n
It came time to go to bed and my brothers and sister went to their rooms. I said to my mum that I wanted to stay with Punky for a bit longer. (I was formulating a plan to help Punky, but I didn\u2019t tell anyone what I was planning. I was sure they would have said I was silly and just sent me to bed.) She said OK and went to bed herself. I was sure that I could help Punky and I was not going to let her die without doing EVERYTHING in my power to help her.<\/p>\n
But what really could I do? I was just a twelve year old kid. I wasn\u2019t a vet\u2026.. or a god. I\u2019d been indoctrinated that God gave life and he took it away\u2026.I knew he\u2019d already done so with my Grandmother.<\/p>\n
I stayed with Punky there for a while, stroking her and showing her that I was with her to help her handle her body. After an hour or so, the house was quiet and everyone was asleep, I lay down in front of Punky and adjusted her body so she was not lying on her prolapse and tried to make her as comfortable as possible. I offered her some water and held it so she could drink. She drank erratically and lay rather still. A tear formed in my eyes as I felt her pain. I lay on my stomach in front of her and put my nose against hers.<\/p>\n
With the strongest intention that I could muster I \u2018said\u2019 to Punky that she was to\u00a0fix her body\u00a0and make herself better. I kept repeating this idea in my mind and transmitting it to Punky. She was not going to die. She was going to live. I watched the hours pass, minute by minute, second by second, all the time keeping my intention focused<\/strong> on Punky that she could fix her body.<\/p>\n I must have fallen asleep around 1a.m. and I rewoke around 2.am. \u00a0I woke with a start! I\u2019d fallen asleep and I\u2019d PROMISED Punky! She was still alive and I began to breathe again, the sweat pouring from my brow. I re-formed my intention clear and strong and sent it to Punky.\u00a0You CAN fix yourself Punky. I KNOW you can. You MUST. You WILL.<\/strong><\/p>\n It is my INTENTION that you will survive.<\/strong><\/p>\n I kept this going for as long as I could\u2026<\/p>\n I awoke with my mum gently waking me. I was still on the floor in front of Punkys cardboard box but Punky wasn\u2019t there!!!<\/p>\n With tears welling in my eyes and the daggers of sadness cutting my guts, I cried out \u201cWhere\u2019s Punky?!\u201d<\/p>\n My mum turned to me with a gentle smile and said \u201cWipe your eyes and look in the garden..\u201d I ran to the back door and looked out to the guinea-pig run. \u201cPunky!\u201d There she was squeaking with joy and eating grass in her run. The prolapse had\u00a0completely\u00a0returned inside and Punky was saved!<\/p>\n I never did tell what I had really \u00a0done that night for fear of ridicule, but the joy of my sister finding Punky was well again was satisfaction that I had really HAD learned to project my intention.<\/p>\n Until tomorrow!<\/p>\n Thanks for listening!<\/p>\n And as I always say, (and for good reason!)<\/p>\n Flourish and Prosper!<\/strong><\/p>\n What the mind can\u00a0conceive\u00a0, the mind can achieve<\/a>.
