One of the biggest reasons<\/del> excuses I hear for lack of success is this:<\/p>\n

But my spouse doesn\u2019t support me\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yeah\u2026 I get it. Mine doesn\u2019t either.<\/p>\n

For years my husband owned a construction company. That company never did very well\u2026 in fact, much of the time it was in the red.<\/p>\n

During those times it was my online income that kept this family afloat. He somehow, never realized that though.<\/p>\n

Until tax time came along.<\/p>\n

The first year I made a fair bit of money online was one of these years.<\/p>\n

I put together all my numbers, and handed them over for him to fill out the tax forms.<\/p>\n

He looked up at me, with a serious look of shock and surprise and said\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cYou really made this much money?\u201d<\/p>\n

I was like, uh, duh? Who do you think has been paying the bills all this time? Why do you think we still have a roof over our heads?<\/p>\n

Even though all the \u201cstuff\u201d was taken care of\u2026 he still didn\u2019t get it.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll tell you the truth\u2026 that was probably 5 years ago.<\/p>\n

He still doesn\u2019t get it.<\/p>\n

I basically just do what I need to do, and hand over the numbers at tax time. He has no idea how my business works, what I do or how I do it. So he just kind of stays out of my way.<\/p>\n

So\u2026 how do you get your spouse to believe in you, and start supporting you?<\/p>\n

Create results.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s just like when I quit smoking. I tried so many different things to quit. Nothing ever worked. I finally decided I was going to spend a fairly large sum of money and go to a hypnotist.<\/p>\n

He freaked\u2026 here I was, going to waste a bunch of money on something I\u2019ve failed in so many times in the past.<\/p>\n

I can understand that\u2026 but I BELIEVED the hypnosis would work for me.<\/p>\n

and guess what\u2026 it did.<\/p>\n

I have never had a cigarette again since the first session I had with her.<\/p>\n

Did he believe me when I came home from that first appointment saying I wasn\u2019t going to smoke anymore?<\/p>\n

Of course not\u2026 I\u2019d gone without cigarettes for a week at a time before.<\/p>\n

His belief began showing up when I\u2019d gone a week, then two, then a month, then two without a cigarette.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the same thing with online business.<\/p>\n

You have to BELIEVE in what you\u2019re doing. You have to go out there and create results, and keep getting results.<\/p>\n

One little 5 dollar commission does not create belief in a doubting spouse. \":)\" <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what really happens though\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The more results you create the more YOU believe in what you\u2019re doing and in YOU.<\/p>\n

The more you believe the more conviction shows up in your eyes. The less shaky you feel when you have to share something they might argue with you about.<\/p>\n

When you have complete conviction you can walk up to your doubting spouse and say, with complete and utter calm and clarity.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey\u2026 I\u2019ve got to spend some money on the business today. It\u2019s going to seem like a lot to you\u2026 but it\u2019s got to be done. I\u2019m going to do it. I just wanted to let you know what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

They may not feel confident themselves, but they will see the confidence in YOU and it will alleviate some of their fears.<\/p>\n

Then you go do it, and create even MORE results\u2026 then they really start to believe. Then pretty soon, they\u2019re trying to find a way for you to fit them into your business\u2026 and who knows\u2026 maybe you don\u2019t want to make the room. \":)\" <\/p>\n

Please\u2026 stop using a doubting spouse as your excuse. You can do it with or without your spouse. Would it be more fun, a little easier with a supportive spouse? Yeah, probably\u2026<\/p>\n

But it is possible as long as YOU decide this is what you\u2019re going to do.<\/p>\n

So go do it.<\/p>\n

Let your results speak for themselves.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

3) Share your blog post on your Facebook profile & Fan Page, as well as other social media sites that you use.<\/p>\n

Again, share on Twitter, G+, LinkedIN, Facebook through the Social Media Bar button at the top of your post<\/p>\n

4) Take the subject of this post, and write a short introduction of your blog post for your team, and send them a link to your blog post through your Empower Network<\/a> Back Office\u00a0My Tools.<\/em><\/p>\n

This can also be sent as a Broadcast Email to your lead list through your auto-responder.<\/em><\/p>\n

If you do not yet have a team, start a conversation with at least 5-10 people on Facebook or other social media sites.
