We post what we&#8217;re doing, what we&#8217;re eating, stuff we find online, and everything else that&#8217;s going on in our world. Who doesn&#8217;t want to share all the fun they&#8217;re having?<\/p>\n<p>\nHere&#8217;s where things get tricky.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nIt takes a bit more thought when posting for your brand or business. Now it&#8217;s not all about you. <u>The key when posting for business is to create engagement with your audience.<\/u> You want to be seen, right? So, people need to engage with your posts or they&#8217;ll stop seeing them all together.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe most important thing you must do before posting anything is to ask yourself, <em>would you want to see it in your feed<\/em>? If the answer is no, <strong>Do Not<\/strong> post it.\u00a0<br \/>\nSo what should you post?<\/p>\n<p>\nYou should be posting <strong>VALUE<\/strong>. That means things that resonate with your audience, teach them something, or entertains them. It should not be SELL, SELL, SELL. That&#8217;s a sure way to erase yourself from their news feeds. A good rule is 1 salesy post for every 5-10 value posts.<\/p>\n<p>\nHere&#8217;s what you should be putting out. Tips related to your niche or your audience&#8217;s most popular interests. If you&#8217;re in cosmetics, easy summer makeup tips or the best sunscreen for a day in the water. Is your audience Game of Thrones fans? Post something about the latest plot twist or what they thought about ___ getting killed. The post needs to be relevent to your audience, it makes you one of them. \u00a0Behind the scenes pics or stories are another great engager. Let them in on the action and the fun. Great videos can either be funny or niche related. Motivational quotes are also huge. Your posts should be creating a relationship between you and your audience.
