\u00a0<\/p>\n
I’d hate to be the bearer of bad news…<\/p>\n
But you are who you associate with<\/strong><\/u>.<\/p>\n This quick video of business coach Fabienne Frederickson will shed some light on what I mean by that.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Makes you think, doesn’t it? I’d gotten this piece of advice a while ago and slowly began to integrate it into my life.<\/p>\n It’s not the easiest thing to do.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n (I’ve actually written a blog post on a similar topic before called guilty by association<\/strong>. Check it out here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Sometimes it’s very difficult to sever ties from family and friends you’ve been loyal to all your life that you no longer resonate with.<\/p>\n Even just attempting to minimize the amount of time with them can be difficult.<\/p>\n Believe me, I’ve been there.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n But there comes a point when you have to be selfish. And brave.<\/p>\n Selfish enough to place your own happiness, goals and interests above all else. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Brave enough to cast anyone aside who stands in the way of that.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Brave enough to know that better, more productive, more fulfilling relationships will soon fill any void you create when ending old relationships<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n There’s only one you. And sometimes it gets lonely out there.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Especially when you have unconventional ideas, beliefs and goals for your life.<\/p>\n But there are always like-minded, like spirited people who you can vibe with. You just have to believe that to be true.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n And then pursue actions that will put you in the environments to meet those types of people.\u00a0<\/p>\n I know we’re supposed to all get along and coexist in harmony. But let’s be real here.<\/p>\n Deer hang with deer. Birds hang with birds. Lions hang with lions.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n That’s not a coincidence in my opinion.<\/p>\n So first, develop (if you haven’t already) a strong sense of self-identity. Know who you are. What you want. What you believe in<\/strong><\/u>.<\/p>\n And choose to primarily associate with others who allow you to be you, encourage you to do so, and where those actions are reciprocated.<\/p>\n Your relationships should encourage, empower, fulfill and inspire you to be a better you each and every day<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n If they aren’t, it’s time to get the scissors.<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n And cut them off<\/strong><\/u>.<\/p>\n Please share my blog with your friends!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n DamianJLondon.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n P.S. Now that you’ve gotten that harsh piece of advice and now know that<\/strong> you are who you associate with<\/a>….<\/p>\n Look around your life.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Are you surrounded by people whose primary desire is to EMPOWER you?<\/strong><\/p>\n Encourage you, inspire you and push you to step into your purpose?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n No?<\/strong><\/p>\n Well, you’re missing out.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The community I’m a part of is the shiznit.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n A group of people committed to empowering others across the world<\/u>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
