I love logging into my account and reading my team blogs. But I confess I have also slipped a bit on the marketing front. Unfortunately I don\u2019t have a lovely holiday excuse \ud83d\ude42 but we were sick with the flu for 4 weeks. So I am back with a plan to get going again –<\/p>\n

1. One paid marketing strategy daily (Facebook or banner ads)<\/p>\n

2. Three blog articles or video blog a week<\/p>\n

3. Two emails a week.<\/p>\n

Lets ramp this up!<\/p>\n

Well hello there stranger!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Victoria here, aka the Aussie Entrepreneur Mum, back from a 5 week hiatus, the holiday we\u2019ve fondly named \u201cThe EPIC Holiday\u201d<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 5 weeks in Europe, 8 different locations, 7 international flights, 5 different languages, 2 little girls, and overall one exhausted but satisfied family \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was an experience I\u2019ll never forget but in my true \u201cforge ahead style\u201d I came home with big plans\u2026.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

* lose the 5+ kilos I put on \u201ceating my way around the world\u201d<\/em> (hey, don\u2019t judge me until you\u2019ve lived accross the road from a Parisian bakery!!)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

* get my online\/home business<\/a> cranking again!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I confess that my best intentions of blogging whilst on holidays were shortsighted. Sharing a room with your entire family for 5 weeks doesn\u2019t leave room for a whole lot of \u201cmummy time\u201d; so although I\u2019d left some measures in place to keep my business going in my abscense (paid online advertising and automated emails), I really hadn\u2019t done enough to be able to take the foot off the pedal altogether\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026needless to say, my business has suffered.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s no shock, I expected it would, so on my arrival I had big plans to get \u201cstuck back in\u201d\u2026\u2026.but Harper (1 yrs old) hasn\u2019t adjust to the new time zone as well as she did going over and has decided that 12 \u2013 4am is as good a play time as any.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then she got the flu.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now I have the flu.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So mentally I moved all plans to \u201cNEXT WEEK\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then I Realised, I was Doing It Again!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

Have you ever made a deal with yourself ..<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I achieve this, then I\u2019ll do this\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Or, \u201cwhen this happens, Ill do this\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s usually along the lines of\u2026 \u201cwhen I have more money, I\u2019ll invest in my education or I\u2019ll start that business\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

OR \u201cwhen I understand how to do it, or when I\u2019m great at doing it then Ill give it a go\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The problem with making deals with \u201cWHEN\u201d is that \u201cWHEN\u201d never comes!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

Reality is that the right time is always NOW.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The problem for waiting for \u201cWHEN\u201d is that \u201cWHEN\u201d never comes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019ll always be another milestone you can wait for. Yes, the baby will one day sleep through the night, but then your pre-schooler could start wetting the bed!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You might finally get ontop of that credit card debt only to find out your kid needs braces, or your hot water tank is rusty and needs replacing!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019ll always be something. Another reaosn to procrastinate, another excuse. And any goal post set by someone procratinating can be moved at any given time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t allow the goal post to move!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So, I\u2019m up, dressed, and I\u2019m blogging again \u2013 back on the horse and riding \u2013 red nose, discusting cough and all! <\/span><\/p>\n

Ok the Zumba classes will have to wait until next week (because I\u2019ll likely choke and die if I attempt one right now), but I am off to grab an apple!<\/span><\/p>\n
