Male Breast Cancer is not well known or talked about.<\/h2>\n

Last year 2000 men were diagnosed with male breast cancer<\/u>.\u00a0 25% will die from it.\u00a0 Thousands more will go undetected.\u00a0 Awareness will be the first weapon we must acquire in this battle.<\/p>\n

If you have read many of my previous blog entries, then you could guess that I should be a founding member of the \u201cI \u2665 Boobies\u201d movement.\u00a0 I really do.\u00a0 Women get all the attention for having \u201cworking\u201d breasts, although that function is such a miniscule fraction of what they\u2019re about for us.\u00a0 Male breast cancer on the other hand is not funny or fun.<\/p>\n

Far less known or realized is that men have breast tissue also.\u00a0 Guys, it\u2019s not all pectoral muscle under your nipples.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Male Breast Cancer is something to be aware of.<\/h2>\n

Watch this short video about two men who became aware of their condition and did something about it.\u00a0 They\u2019re alive to tell the cautionary tale.\u00a0 There is much that we can do right away to help fight male breast cancer.<\/p>\n

If you have just felt around your chest guys, that is a good start.\u00a0 If there is a \u201chollow\u201d spot or an oddly shaped lump, or anything that might be suspicious, then get it checked out!\u00a0 This male breast cancer thing is nothing to fool around about.<\/p>\n

Awareness will be our first weapon against male breast cancer.<\/h3>\n

For awareness to be a powerful first weapon in this fight against male breast cancer, it must become pervasive<\/strong>.\u00a0 There comes a time to skip the jokes, get real, and get the word out.\u00a0 Now is that time.<\/p>\n

The video is part of a larger effort to shine a light on this topic that has lurked in the shadows for far too long.<\/p>\n
