Give your readers what they\u2019re looking for, whether it be cooking tips or car care or the best movies they can spend their money on this month. Make a good first impression and it will keep them coming back to your blog.<\/p>\n

Look like a pro<\/strong>. Face it: people will see your blog before they can even start reading it. Part of making a good impression is to have the appropriate design<\/strong> in place. Does your blog have a memorable name? Does it have a logo or an eye-catching style? Is it easy to navigate?<\/p>\n

How To Promote A Blog Post with Social Triggers:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Make it easy for readers to spread the word<\/strong>. Have your RSS icon<\/strong> clearly visible on your sidebar or header so people can easily add you to their feeds. Make sure your posts have a Share option for every major social media site out there, such as Twitter, and Google+.<\/p>\n

You can gain an instant following if a blog leader of a particular niche does you the great favor of linking to your site. So make an effort to look for bloggers with the same interest as yours and start interacting with them. True, this group will be smaller, but they will be the ones who\u2019ll want to read your content!<\/p>\n

As such, going with the keyword \u201cmovie reviews\u201d is not equal to \u201c2011 sci-fi movie reviews\u201d. \u00a0For example, the keyword for this post, is \u201chow to promote a blog post\u201d<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Make sure your blog platform has \u201cAuthority\u201d<\/strong>. \u00a0 You see, Google is a bit like a child in school. \u00a0If someone like a teacher, or the principle asked them to do something, or told them something, they would be more inclined to believe it, as opposed to one of the other students.<\/p>\n

This is where \u201cAuthority\u201d comes in. \u00a0A new, fresh blog really has no authority, so you must build trust over time with Uncle Google. \u00a0One way to do this, is to\u00a0regularly<\/strong> write good content<\/strong>. Write about something you want to write about and that other people will want to read. Creating honest, easy to understand, and memorable content is the best marketing tool there is, and if you can do this day after day you\u2019ll have all the readership you want.<\/p>\n

Another way is to \u201cborrow Authority\u201d.<\/strong> \u00a0This blog for example, is hosted on an \u201cAuthority Domain\u201d, which means that although it\u2019s a relatively new blog, it is able to be trusted almost immediately by Google.<\/p>\n
