Fact is, you can do more prospecting, phone calls, home meetings and lead generation than anybody but if you can’t close you’re stuck in the mud my friend.

It’s important to realize that closing a sale is not so much an event but more of a process and this is where most newbie network marketers don’t understand the close at all. So let’s just cover the process in few simple steps so you can really grasp what I am saying here.

Before moving forward, I want you to know that I am not a master closer and won’t pretend to be. However over the past few months I have began to grasp these principles that I will be showing you here and my sales and signups have multiplied 10 fold. Of course it helps to have a highly converting offer as well. And I’ll let you in on that toward the end of this article.

Your network marketing success starts with…

some kind of presentation, right? As the presenter you must believe in your product and believe that you can in fact ‘close the sale.’ Your audience, whether it is one or many, must be able to see your product or service through your eyes. For this to happen you will need to engage them in and during your presentation. So how do you do that?

First of all you want to address them by name multiple times throughout the presentation. Clearly this tactic is more often used in smaller groups. You also want to ask probing questions throughout your presentation like, “Is this making sense?” or “You agree with me, don’t you?”

Not only does this enable you to be sure you have their full attention but if they agree with you by saying “Yes”, you will know that you are communicating on the same plain. This strategy of involving your audience in the presentation is what really positions them to see your product, service or opportunity through your eyes.

So you have finished your presentation and are now ready to close. What do you do? How do you do it?

Network Marketing Success – Now Comes The Close

1) Bring out the emotional triggers.
Know that your prospects buy based on emotions more so than what they know or understand about your offer. So it’s now your job to take what they know and understand in their head and move it down to a more personal and emotional level. Do this by asking probing questions such as, “What did you like most about what you just saw?” or “Do you feel this will help you with…?”

2) Answer Questions and Overcome Objections
Start with, “based off what you just say, what reasons could possibly stop you from buying today?”

Don’t allow objections to scare you because this is evidence that you did a good job presenting and your prospect is really thinking about what they just saw. It would be more worrisome if your prospect had no questions or objections at all because that should lead you to believe they either didn’t pay attention or didn’t understand your presentation. An objection may look something like this:

“I need to ask my spouse or partner.” – With this you might answer by saying, “Perfect! Let me ask you something? Who makes the decisions in your household, you or …?

Always allow time for an answer, then simply schedule a time with both of them so the other party will see the presentation in the same way. It’s important to note that you always want to answer your prospects questions with another question because physiologically the one asking the questions always controls the conversation.

Most importantly of all, listen intently to the answers your prospect is giving you because 99% of the time they will tell you what they DON’T want, which enables you to show them how your product, service or opportunity will give them what in fact they DO want. In turn this moves them away from what they don’t want or their objections. You see how this is working?

3) Network Marketing Success – The Flip
This is the part where it can get fun because if you did your initial probing correctly in phase one then you’ll have a clear understanding of what your prospects needs or problems are. And now that you understand what the problem is, you can begin to position your offer as the solution to their problems.

4) Asking for the sale is vital to your success in network marketing and the…
Crazy thing is many newbie marketers leave this crucial step out. So unless your prospect has already committed to a buying decision… Ask Them To Buy!!! Chances are they’re waiting for you to ask anyways.

As a network marketer I would ask, “So you ready to get started?”

And if you’re marketing a product just ask, “Are you ready to buy?”

You should never feel uncomfortable to ask for the sale. Never! The worst that could happen is they stall or say “NO” to your offer. I like this little saying…

“Some will, some won’t, so what?”

So What? If you don’t ask for the sale you can never close the deal and if you don’t close nobody wins in the end. That sucks.

Here you have a simple process to follow to close your sales. And if you are serious about your network marketing success you will follow this process and start closing more sales. Overtime you will become comfortable asking for the sale and when you do, your income and organization will begin to explode.

See you at the top.

I bet we can all agree that network marketing success is hugely dependent on your ability to close the sale.
