If you aren\u2019t disciplined to do what has to be done even if you don\u2019t like it\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.this isn\u2019t for you<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t have a burning desire for TRUE freedom \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.this isn\u2019t for you<\/p>\n

What do you think of when you hear someone say \u201d I work from home?\u201d<\/h2>\n

Do you think\u2026..TV watching all day?<\/p>\n

Sleeping on the couch and eating bon-bons all day?<\/p>\n

Maybe getting hooked on all the soap operas?<\/p>\n

Truth is\u2026..for me, working from home doesn\u2019t always mean I work from home.<\/p>\n

I work from home, Starbucks, beach, cruise ship, and even a hospital Intensive Care Unit.<\/h2>\n

2013 started off with my 85 year old mom being diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. She began having heart issues back in 2008 with her first heart attack. That was my decision maker that lead me to retire from my 20 year career in Law Enforcement to come home and take care of my family. Now, 6 years later, my mom\u2019s disease has progressed.<\/p>\n

During both of her stays in the hospital in January alone, I was able to work from hospital if I wanted to and not only work from home. Most days, I just waited until I got home at night and spent an hour or so working.<\/p>\n

That was OK though, it\u2019s what I LOVE best about what I do for a living \u2013 the freedom and portability!<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t have a schedule to keep<\/p>\n

I get to decide when and where I work.<\/p>\n

Can you really Work from Home (boat, beach, or hospital) in just 1-2 hours a day?<\/h2>\n

Yes you can and here is how I know!<\/p>\n

At the beginning of this week, it appeared my mom was headed for the emergency room again (which leads to admission to the hospital) because she was having so much trouble breathing. With congestive heart failure the heart cannot pump fluid as effectively so the body builds up fluid which affects the lungs making it tough to breathe.<\/p>\n

Monday: Got mom to Primary Care Doctor who was able to prescribe oxygen. Home Care company delivers and set up oxygen and teaches us how to use it.<\/p>\n

Tuesday: Visit to cardiologist which lead to unexpected trip to another location for a chest X-ray and ultra-sound of lungs due to Pleural fluid build up. Then we were off to Quest to get blood drawn to check coagulation for a Thorocentesis to be done Wednesday morning. (they draw the fluid out with a needle)<\/p>\n

Wednesday: Procedure is done and then chest x-ray and new heart medication to stabilize irregular heart beat. (lots of monitoring)<\/p>\n

Thursday: Call to doctor about some symptoms which leads to another blood draw for labs and chest x-ray.<\/p>\n

I share this information not to depress you (although it has had me quite anxious), I share it to give you an idea of what my week has been like so far. Probably goes without saying, the last thing I want to do is WORK \u2013 of any kind!<\/p>\n

Because of my team, I can work from home and I have an EASY button when I need it!<\/h2>\n
