I found this article\/blog by Adam Doran and feel that its spot on and I\u2019d like to share it with you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have blogged about entrepreneurship, taking the step to become independent and stepping up to this challenge that can create a lifestyle that you dream about. Adam does a very nice and concise job in making it simple.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you know your WHY? Adam does a great job explaining just what a WHY is and shares some ideas that can help you identify your Why.<\/span><\/p>\n

His Secret #2,\u00a0Prioritization\/Focus is very good in helping to define higher and lower priority activities and maintaining your Focus.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEntrepreneurship isn\u2019t just reserved for smart or \u201cprivileged\u201d people.\u00a0 Rather, your entrepreneurial success hinges on a fundamental understanding of several secrets that form the foundation for life success, in all areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secret #1: Inspiration<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Inspiration is the starting point of great things.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

The greatest plans, organizations, products, and systems are born out of inspiration.\u00a0 There has to be a vision, a big picture, something greater than yourself, that wakes you up in the morning and moves you emotionally\u2014to the point of tears, even. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is often referred to as your \u201cWhy.\u201d \u00a0It\u2019s what you\u2019re all about. \u00a0It could be to give your kids a better life than you had. \u00a0It could be your desire to leave a massive multimillion dollar donation to your church or favority charity. \u00a0It could be to spread an important message that you believe so strongly in, you can\u2019t stand the thought of people not knowing about it. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whatever it is, the vision, mission, and purpose of your business is driven by your \u201cWhy\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secret #2: Prioritization\/Focus<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Once you have your \u201cWhy\u201d figured out, it should drive your system of prioritization, which will keep you focused. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Daily business activities that take you measurably closer to your vision receive top priority. \u00a0Other activities which don\u2019t should only receive attention once you\u2019ve completed the higher-priority tasks. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As your business grows, you won\u2019t be able to complete all your objectives. \u00a0That\u2019s fine. \u00a0Remain focused on high-priority activities, and either higher employees or outsource the lower-priority tasks. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t, you\u2019ll lose focus as your attention is distracted with activities that aren\u2019t helpful in accomplishing your business purpose and don\u2019t carry you towards your vision. \u00a0This becomes a cyclical trap that MANY business owners fall into. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Successful entrepreneurs learn to stay focused on the priorities, so their businesses can continue to grow and thrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secret #3: Mentorship<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Wealthy and successful people have mentors\u2013individuals with a higher level of knowledge and experience in their chosen life\u2019s work. <\/span><\/p>\n

Why? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because they understand that you don\u2019t know what you don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Thankfully, you\u2019re surrounded by men and women who have gone before you, and who possess the knowledge, experience, and wisdom necessary to guide you to success. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t know who your potential mentors in your existing social circles are, it\u2019s time you start being more social. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Be humble, get past your self-image, and find yourself several mentors.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Central to your ability to receive mentorship, is your willingness to ask questions.\u00a0 Let your humility and desire to learn develop good questions, and jot them down as your mind formulates them.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Secret #4: Action<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It has been said, \u201cTo whom much is given, of him (her) much will be required.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I would re-order that statement with the, \u201cmuch will be required,\u201d part FIRST. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You have to take MASSIVE ACTION, right now. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There can\u2019t be any sitting on the sidelines contemplating\u2013get in the game!<\/span><\/p>\n

Inspiration is powerful.<\/em> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A laser-sharp focus and experienced mentors add to that and form a great launchpad. \u00a0But to get off the launchpad you have to actually fire the rockets. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whatever your first step is\u2013picking up the phone and calling a prospect, giving a presentation to a group, recording an informational video, it won\u2019t get done until YOU get to it! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You have a vision, you\u2019ve planned, you\u2019re focused, and you have support from your mentors\u2013now DO SOMETHING!<\/span><\/p>\n

Secret #5: Continuous Growth<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Successful entrepreneurs understand that their market, and hence their business, is always changing. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We live in an age of continuously increasing knowledge. \u00a0Have a sense of humility that says, \u201cI don\u2019t know it all, but I\u2019m willing to keep learning.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s always a better way, and new problems are always developing that have no known solutions. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Discover the solutions to these problems and you\u2019ll find new business niches. \u00a0Always work to develop and hone your sense of perceiving the needs of others around you, then structure the solution and organize the business that will meet those needs. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
