Over the past 3 years, Romeo and I have had to figure out a lot of the pieces of building a successful online business \u2013 if we had known these 3 principles when we started, it would have definitely helped us to reach our goals a whole lot faster.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy to start online and get caught up in the wrong things right away. Making a pretty site, or developing a working merchant service or even outsourcing things that don\u2019t need to be outsourced yet.<\/p>\n

We made a lot of mistakes, and it wasn\u2019t until we began to get results that we were able to reverse engineer the process to REALLY see what worked and was effective. Know the 80\/20 Rule? Cut out what\u2019s NOT working, and focus on the few key principles that DO work.<\/p>\n

    Your Home on the Internet: A Blog<\/h3>\n

    The missing piece for a lot of content creators, product designers, novelists, artists, and business owners is that they have not reached a wide enough audience to even get their product or service SEEN.<\/p>\n

    Even if you have the greatest product or service but no one even knows about it, then really, what\u2019s the point?<\/p>\n

    However, if you know EXACTLY how to build up an audience and customer base, where you never run out of \u201cthe right people\u201d to show your product or service to, then you now have a LONG TERM, SUSTAINABLE business.<\/p>\n

    How and where can this be done?<\/p>\n

    With a Blog.<\/p>\n

    A blog is literally your HOME on the internet \u2013 it is where you can create true value, on a consistent basis and through studying and applying the methods on how to market an effectively, you can literally create traffic that will begin to work for you on auto-pilot \u2013 bringing you an audience and consistent customer base over and over again.<\/p>\n

    So now you have traffic building up, well the next mistake a lot of people make is that they don\u2019t build up an email subscribers list. Without a \u2018list\u2019, you are not developing a further relationship with your subscribers and literally not building an ASSET for yourself and your business.<\/p>\n

    A High Converting Product and\/or Offer<\/h3>\n

    So now you have your home on the internets, and you have a running auto-responder but you feel as though you are still not making money online. This last and crucial piece to building a successful online business is what most people miss, or never even get to.<\/p>\n

    There are many routes you can take of what to sell online \u2013 from products and services that you create, to products and services that OTHERS create from which you can earn a commission from, like affiliate programs.<\/p>\n

    Well, if you go down the route of creating your own product, just be aware that it requires a higher skill set to do this and as a result: MORE TIME. -This is because you have to get involved with all aspects of creating the product, such as product design, invention, creation, manufacturing, patenting, merchant services, customer service, order fulfilment, and the list goes on and on \u2013 on top of which, you also have to know how to market.<\/p>\n

    Romeo and I went down the path of trying to create our own product but we quickly realized that we had a LOT of learning to do, and we just didn\u2019t have the time, because we wanted to create an income NOW.<\/p>\n

    Another thing we realized is that probably the single most important skill we could learn would be to effectively market online.<\/p>\n
