What\u2019s the secret to getting traffic, creating leads and making sales?<\/h2>\n

I was on a \u201cone on one\u201d coaching call last night with another marketer who was (figuratively speaking) <\/em>passing out golden nuggets. I just received some disappointing news about something I was working on for a marketing campaign and frankly I was a little ticked off.<\/h3>\n

So What Happened Next?<\/h3>\n

I remembered seeing an email come through earlier yesterday from this marketer offering a 30 min coaching session with anyone on his list who needed help with one or two thing that was holding them back in their business. So I gave him a call.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I explained the few things that I felt were holding me back and what he said was absolutely profound. Before he gave me the solution to my specific problems he spent most of our time together speaking about mind-set because he recognized (as any good coach does) that my mental fortitude was breaking down and he could sense the frustration.<\/p>\n

He said the biggest obstacle to over come in online and network marketing<\/a> is not how to set up a website, setting up an auto-responder or losing a bunch of money on a bad lead source. It\u2019s more often than not, over coming our own self-defeating beliefs. That\u2019s why, he went on, all of the top income earners in our profession speak so much about mind-set and not about the technical problems that people run into.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the Truth?<\/h3>\n

The truth is, anyone can go on YouTube<\/em> and track down ten free videos that will training them to set up their Facebook fan page or set up an Aweber<\/em> account to start marketing on the internet. Of course it may take you a little time to figure it all out if your piece-mealing different trainings from different people together so I don\u2019t recommend that strategy.<\/p>\n

Most people misinterpret the problems their having in their business as having to do with technical difficulty. The reality is, the tech stuff is the easy part. I think we can agree that there\u2019s no shortage of webinars to attend, tools or courses to buy and it\u2019s rare to hear a person complain that there\u2019s NOT enough information out in the market place!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s basically two categories that will determine a persons success in network marketing.<\/h3>\n

1)<\/strong><\/em> The \u201cmechanics<\/em>\u201cof the business.<\/span> The Blocking an tackling. This is the everyday \u201chow to\u201d<\/em> part of the business that includes the tech stuff.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong><\/em> The \u201cmind-game\u201d<\/em>.<\/span> This is the real stumbling block. This is having the mind-set to keep pressing on and not quit in the face of obstacles that rear their ugly heads as we\u2019re building our future. Obstacles like your best friend saying NO to your business, your family thinking you joined some sort of online cult or working all day and then working your internet marketing business part-time until 1am every day. There\u2019s always going to be people or limitations in your life that either directly or in directly tell you \u201cyou won\u2019t make it\u201d but the biggest unbeliever is often YOU!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t Sabotage Your Business with Destructive Self-Talk<\/h3>\n

Now that I think back on what I was mad about I realize it was a weenie little problem that I should have just broken in two with my forehead the second it appeared! A person\u2019s self-talk will either be the glue that holds their business together or the fire that burns it to the ground.<\/p>\n

I have a friend in the network marketing<\/a> business who\u2019s an absolute recruiting monster in the offline marketing niche and he always signs off his emails with \u201cif you believe you can or if you believe you can\u2019t, you\u2019re right\u201d<\/em>. Now I didn\u2019t take the time to research who said that or if it\u2019s original to my friend but regardless, it pretty much says it all.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
