\u201cBacklinks\u201d is sometimes thrown around like cheap word but the importance of backlinks, especially anchor text backlinks, cannot be overstated.<\/h2>\n

When I first heard that there were approximately 14 billion web sites on the internet I thought \u201cI heard that wrong\u201d;<\/em> I thought \u201c14 billion pages maybe but 14 billion sites! No WAY\u201d<\/em>!\u00a0 I took another look at it and sure enough, it said 14 BILLION sites\u2026.unreal!!!<\/h3>\n

The very next thought was \u201chow does someone in the article marketing business get to the first page of Google with billions of competitors\u201d?<\/em>\u00a0 Article marketing is a powerful way to get traffic to a website and if done correctly, means getting massive exposure from thousands and thousands of people coming to your site looking for products, services and information.<\/p>\n

Anchor Text Backlinks Serious \u201cLink Juice\u201d<\/h3>\n

Getting to the first page of Google should be the goal for any serious internet business<\/span> but getting to the first page may not be enough.\u00a0 The reality is that 80% of the clicks that occur on the first page of Google goes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots on the page<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0 The first spot alone receives about 56% of the clicks.\u00a0 So if you\u2019re ranking anywhere below the 3rd spot then just know that you\u2019re getting only a small fraction of the traffic that you could be getting.<\/p>\n
