Faith answers the question, \u201cHow?\u201d In one word: \u201cGod!\u201d The Bible says, \u201cFaith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen\u201d (Heb 11:1 NKJV)<\/p>\n

Notice:<\/p>\n

1. Faith is a \u201csubstance.\u201d Some people see faith as something ethereal and \u201cother worldly.\u201d But it\u2019s not. All of us use faith every day. For example, you pick up the phone, call a department store, place an order, and they ask for your credit card number. Then they send you a receipt. The receipt is what you hold on to while you\u2019re waiting for the item to arrive. The receipt gives you the assurance that the product is on the way. And the same is true in the spiritual realm. God promises to answer your prayer, you believe Him, but your faith is the \u201csubstance\u201d or the receipt you hold on to while you\u2019re waiting.
\n2. Faith is also \u201cevidence.\u201d Why would you believe that someone you can\u2019t see on the other end of the phone line would send you something just because you order it? Because it happens everyday for others, and it\u2019s probably happened to you before. Therefore you\u2019re not being presumptuous or silly when you go out to your mailbox expecting it to be there.<\/i><\/p>\n

You are not the first person to trust God and you won\u2019t be the last. \u201cLord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations\u201d (PS 90:1 NAS). People have been trusting God for thousands of years and He has never let them down. His faithfulness is all the \u201cevidence\u201d you need. So it\u2019s not foolish to put your trust in God like that, is it?<\/p>\n
