Have you ever been to Cincinnati?<\/p>\n

My daughter went to University of Dayton and one summer day I took her and her sister to a concert there. We went to see The Fray.<\/p>\n

It was her first concert and I got to be a part of it! Great memories. Today she lives in Cincinnati so I am going for a quick visit.<\/p>\n

This trip is not about concerts or sightseeing or anything that is planned.<\/p>\n

This trip is just for time spent together to calm the vampiric thoughts in her head!<\/p>\n

I am not implying that my daughter is a vampire!! I am saying that so much in this world works on our minds like a vampire feeding.<\/p>\n

A vampire steals the life blood from its victims.<\/p>\n

The victim becomes controlled by their attacker and the desire to feed their inability to be satiated.<\/p>\n

The vampire leaves its victim unable to function or live as a human ever again.<\/p>\n

All that made that person a loving, self confident, powerful thinker, deep feeler, and compassionate being is lost.<\/p>\n

They are destined to eternal unrest and violence.<\/p>\n

Have you noticed how violent and cold our society has become? Do you notice all of the negativity that makes up television these days?<\/p>\n

I may be a weirdo or an extremist, but I don\u2019t even turn that huge black box on anymore!<\/p>\n

And I am using TV as a symbol- because today you can watch \u201cTV\u201d on various devices.<\/p>\n

My point is that I do not put myself in front of negative influences anymore.<\/p>\n

It has been part of my decision to live my life in a positive way to spread light and love.<\/p>\n

The things I put into my mind are what make up my reality.<\/p>\n

I do not want to live a life of violence. I do not want to be drawn to or have violent people drawn to me.<\/p>\n

I do not want the vampiric forces of evil sucking my dreams away.<\/p>\n

I have lived that scenario \u00a0and it was not easy, happy, or productive.<\/p>\n

The people and events and experiences I want to have are uplifting, loving, peaceful, and positive producing.<\/p>\n

I fill my mind with like information. I read books with positive, self developmental, and information on how to live the life I deserve.<\/p>\n

My favorite book is\u00a0Think and Grow Rich\u00a0<\/span> by Napoleon Hill.<\/p>\n

He tells you how to make the life you want by infusing everything you do with positive and creative forces which you already possess!<\/p>\n

Another of my favorite books is\u00a0The Power of Your Subconscious Mind<\/span> by Joseph Murphy.<\/p>\n

The information in this book is some of the most powerful life changing information I have read so far!<\/p>\n

When I lost my job, I realized after months of self reflection, that what had happened was because of what I had thought.<\/p>\n

I was growing very dissatisfied with the direction of education.<\/p>\n

I was in opposite belief about education and children from that of my principal.<\/p>\n

When the school year started, I had almost gotten myself into a panic about not wanting to go against what I believed in any more.<\/p>\n

The previous year all of these changes had landed me in the hospital with emergency surgery caused by stress.<\/p>\n

I knew it was no longer a job I believed was creating positive results in the children.<\/p>\n

It was the best thing for me to have lost my job.<\/p>\n

It was not done in a humane or caring way for someone who had given their entire life to teaching but it was the answer to my dilemma.<\/p>\n

But seeing as how I was so plugged into the negatives of the world, it makes sense to me now why and how it all occurred.<\/p>\n

Now this didn\u2019t come to me quickly! It has taken months of self reflection and work.<\/p>\n

But I do now understand. And I needed to understand this life shattering experience.<\/p>\n

My daughter is going through a time where she is feeling overwhelmed by \u201clife\u201d.<\/p>\n

Using technology to help her understand and focus on what really matters just doesn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

Do you have children? Do you have people you deeply care about?<\/p>\n

Then you totally understand how looking someone in the eye and taking them in your arms is the only way to show support and compassion.<\/p>\n

So I have decided to fight the forces of evil on her turf!<\/p>\n

No, that is not some kooky idea, it is an inside joke!\u00a0<\/p>\n

I will explain the joke at the end if you are interested;)<\/p>\n

So I have taken my 2 fur babies to the boarder- I did not sleep very well without them last night- and I will be leaving as soon as I finish talking to you!<\/p>\n

But any sacrifice for my children is worth the discomfort it brings me- no matter the size.<\/p>\n

I have made many a pilgrimage to various towns in the midwest to help my girls when they lose their way.<\/p>\n

I enjoy going. No, these do not happen at convenient times- but what in life does?<\/p>\n

But it gives me a chance to hold my children again and try to guide them through the process of figuring out how to make their lives better.<\/p>\n

They have to figure it out. I cannot tell them what to do. Not only will they just not do it, but I am setting myself up for failure.<\/p>\n

I ask questions that get them to think about their situation. I ask questions so they can figure out what will work best in their<\/em> life and with their<\/em> feelings.<\/p>\n

Have you ever tried to just tell someone what to do because you knew it would work? And then got really frustrated because they wouldn\u2019t listen?<\/p>\n

People (especially adolescents and young adults) do not like being told what to do!<\/p>\n

When you can lead someone with your questions into the general area that you know will help them, they are much more likely to go because it was their<\/em> decision!<\/p>\n

So, I am off to help my daughter because I would do anything in my power to help her.<\/p>\n

As I am sure you would too.<\/p>\n

I \u00a0want my children to find happiness, success, peace, and joy in their lives while still pursuing their dreams.<\/p>\n

I want them to spend every day doing something they love.<\/p>\n

Teaching was never a negative for me until the end. It was very easy to go to work.<\/p>\n

I loved my job! I want them to find something that they love to do-and then it is a life- not just a job.<\/p>\n

They have been through the college scene which they enjoyed and gave them the time to grow and learn but also gave them the false sense of security that it would set their life up after graduation.<\/p>\n

So my challenge, along with them, is to find a way to do something they love and be able to live the way they want and deserve!<\/p>\n

So, I will make another trip, hug my beautiful daughter, tell her how much she means to me, and try and guide her into fighting the forces of evil!<\/p>\n

To those of you that do not understand my forces of evil comments, it is an inside knowing\u00a0<\/em>more than a joke.<\/p>\n

For those of you that understand how important it is to follow your dreams, just click the word peace at the end.<\/p>\n

If you are content with your life in all respects, then this knowing<\/em> is not for you.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s OK if you do not want to know- I am so happy for you that your life is going just like you dreamed. I wish you great success and happiness!<\/p>\n
