That\u2019s right, the<br \/>\nprovince of Ontario is a wealth of bluegrass music and talent and if you<br \/>\ndidn\u2019t know\u00a0that, you\u2019ve been missing out.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m writing about <em>bluegrass festivals in Ontario<\/em> to spread the news of a<br \/>\nwell deserved recognition. Not only is there quite a few bluegrass<br \/>\nfestivals through each year but they are quality bluegrass festivals. Of<br \/>\ncourse I\u2019m a little biased because I\u2019m from Ontario Canada and I\u2019m<br \/>\nproud of our music. But recognition is deserved and that\u2019s just a fact.<\/p>\n<p>Now I\u2019m not saying <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">bluegrass festivals in Ontario<\/span> are better than<br \/>\nanywhere else in the world but I want people to know how rich in<br \/>\ntalent we are. I love bluegrass music and I\u2019ve been to festivals in the<br \/>\nUnited States and they were absolutely amazing but it\u2019s great to know<br \/>\nif I can\u2019t make it down south, at least I can attend great festivals that<br \/>\nare close to home.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Bluegrass Festivals In Ontario worth attending in 2012<\/h2>\n<p>We are into a new year and the bluegrass festivals in Ontario are soon<br \/>\nto kick off for 2012. Many friends and acquaintances are anxiously<br \/>\nwaiting for the bluegrass festival season to begin.<\/p>\n<p>We Canadians don\u2019t have the luxury of seeing many festivals through<br \/>\nthe winter months, maybe some indoor festivals but not outdoor festivals. So<br \/>\nby the time June rolls around, we are ready!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Here is a list of Bluegrass Festivals in Ontario\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quinte Isle Bluegrass Celebration \u2013 June 8 -10<\/li>\n<li>Bluegrass in the Country (Manitoulin Island) \u2013 June 8 -10<\/li>\n<li>Tottenham Bluegrass Festival \u2013 June 15 -17<\/li>\n<li>River Valley Bluegrass &amp; Country Gathering \u2013 July 5 -8<\/li>\n<li>Renfrew Valley Bluegrass Festival \u2013 July 12 -15<\/li>\n<li>Minden Hills Bluegrass Festival \u2013 July 20 -22<\/li>\n<li>Palmer Rapids Twin Music Festival \u2013 July 26 -29<\/li>\n<li>River Valley Bluegrass Jamboree \u2013 July 1 -5<\/li>\n<li>Flinton Bluegrass Jamboree \u2013 August 3 -5<\/li>\n<li>Holstein Bluegrass Celebration \u2013 August 10 -12<\/li>\n<li>Conestoga Trails Bluegrass &amp; Gospel Festival \u2013 August 17 -19<\/li>\n<li>Sand Road Bluegrass Festival \u2013 August 16 -19<\/li>\n<li>River Valley Bluegrass &amp; Country Windup Weedend \u2013 August 31 -Sept.1<\/li>\n<li>6th Annual Upper Canada Bluegrass Festival \u2013 September 14 -16<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are the bluegrass festivals I know of and if I missed one or another is<br \/>\nscheduled, I will be sure to add it to the list.<\/p>\n<h3>Support Bluegrass Festivals in Ontario<\/h3>\n<p>There have been a few bluegrass festivals in Ontario that have been cancelled<br \/>\nover the years. It\u2019s going to happen from time to time regardless of what we do.<br \/>\nBut we can support the festivals by attending and spreading the word to our<br \/>\nfriends. One successful way of getting the word out is on Facebook.
