Yesterday, my husband was listening to some old tapes we had in what we call our storage room and we he came across a Randy Travis song and listened to it. Then he was kinda singing it\u2026he\u2019s not the best singer lol and it instantly reminded me of my Grandpa that is no longer with us that I miss and love. He died in the 90\u2032s and this is why every time I hear this song it reminds me of him.<\/p>\n
Right after the funeral we decided to get a bite to eat and the first song that played was Randy Travis \u201cHe walked on water\u201d. That stuck to me like glue for some reason and I never did forget when I heard the song.<\/p>\n
Every time I would see him he would say that I was a pretty girl but it\u2019s hard when your own grandpa doesn\u2019t love<\/strong> you because your just a stranger to him.<\/p>\n Every time I think of my grandpa I think of his truck, us singing she\u2019ll be coming around the mountain, the old tractor that my grandpa used to use to plant tobacco, my painted rocks, chickens and whistling. My dad and grandpa both taught me how to whistle!<\/p>\n My grandpa was the first to buy something from me! He believed in me even when I was just selling painted rocks that I painted myself.<\/p>\n It\u2019s funny I had a knack for selling stuff since I was a kid and I never did see it till much later. I remember getting first prize for the choir class I was in for selling the most chocolate bars.<\/p>\n The thing was though I wanted to go to the trip and didn\u2019t have the money to go so I worked hard on going for free pretty much. Everything was paid for except food and drinks!<\/p>\n I was glad I did it too because I loved the place it was the hall of fame of rock and roll I believe in Cleveland, Ohio!<\/p>\n Anyway, I miss my grandpa and love<\/em> him!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Do You Have A Song That Reminds You Of Someone You Love?
