Do you realize that there is nobody more important in your life than you? Unfortunately, many of us have locked ourselves up in what we were taught to believe, as children by our parents, teachers as youngsters, teenagers and young adults while we attended school. I mean no disrespect but needless to say our religious upbringings may also have impacted our minds with restrictions, which we failed to comprehend. We have no doubt each personally experienced situations that have impacted us with fears, doubts, worries and stress, or paradigms that we unfortunately reflect on to this day.
\nThis is my seventieth year, and as a grandparent to 12 grandchildren I want to share with them the importance of creating their own pathway to success. Change is the essence of life, but unless we understand and appreciate \u201cthe bigger picture\u201d we will never get to understand and engage life with our own true potential.
\nPerhaps you\u2019re as fortunate as I am, for I have enjoyed the best aspects of my life to date, with my wife over the past 47 years, and we both agree it\u2019s not over yet. Also important to us have been our sons and daughter, their spouses and their offspring.
\nI don\u2019t know about you, but especially in this day and age, and especially due to increasing technologies, when it comes to employment, age discrimination can have a major impact on you. However when you understand and elect to pursue your true potential, you can truly turn life around.
\nI\u2019m going to share with you, some of the people who turned out to be among some of the most successful in their chosen fields, but not without facing some serious shortfalls and failures first. For instance in the field of business the following were not always successful, but they refused to give up; Henry Ford, R. H. Macy, F.W. Woolworth, Soichiro Honda, Bill Gates, and Walt Disney. In the scientific field this included the likes of Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Socrates, and Robert Sternberg. Inventors having met such challenges include Thomas Edison, Orville and Wilbur Wright. In more modern days plenty of women are now contributing more to the success of others.
\nSo where do you believe you will go from here? No doubt the success in life of your family members could truly be a significant and meaningful way of sharing love with them and contributing to their future. Also, success is not limited solely to business. Donating your time, experience and wisdom to others in need, could result in a needed motivation and change within society.
