Knowledge vs. Education<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Please understand here that what I am sharing here with you can be found in Chapter 5 of THINK AND GROW RICH which is a 1937 motivational personal development<\/a> and self-help book by Napoleon Hill. While the title implies that this book deals with how to get rich, the author explains that the philosophy taught in the book can be used to help people succeed in all lines of work and to do or be almost anything they want. This is every bit as valuable today as it was back then.<\/p>\n

Knowledge<\/b><\/span> will not attract money, unless it is organized, and intelligently directed, through practical PLANS OF ACTION, to the DEFINITE END of accumulation of money. Lack of understanding of this fact has been the source of confusion to millions of people who falsely believe that \u201cknowledge is power.\u201d It is nothing of the sort! Knowledge<\/b><\/span> is only potential power. It becomes power only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action, and directed to a definite end.<\/p>\n

Education<\/b><\/span> \u2013 Most professors specialize on teaching knowledge, but they do not specialize on the organization, or the use of knowledge. The \u201cmissing link\u201d in all systems of education known to civilization today, maybe found in the failure of educational institutions to teach their students HOW TO organize and use knowledge after they acquire it.<\/p>\n

The word Education<\/b><\/span> is derived from the Latin word \u201ceduco,\u201d meaning to educe, to draw out, to DEVELOP FROM WITHIN. An educated man is not, necessarily, one who has an abundance of general or specialized Knowledge<\/b><\/span>. An educated man is one who has so developed the faculties of his mind that he may acquire anything he wants, or its equivalent, without violating the rights of others.<\/p>\n

Any man is educated who knows where to get Knowledge<\/b><\/span> when he needs it, and how to organize that Knowledge<\/b><\/span> into definite plans of action.<\/p>\n

Knowledge vs. Education<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Think of the impact society has on us all. All the rules, laws and yes much of the thinking we have been exposed to, have been subject to the limitations of society. Education<\/i><\/b><\/span> has played a major factor in limiting what we have been exposed to. Education<\/i><\/b><\/span> is a means of learning about the minimal information relevant to what many of us need in order to get work.<\/p>\n

Men sometimes go through life suffering from \u201cinferiority complexes,\u201d because they are not men of \u201ceducation.\u201d The man who can organize and direct a \u201cMaster Mind\u201d group of men who possess knowledge useful in the accumulation of money, is just as much a man of education as any man in the group. REMEMBER THIS, if you suffer from a feeling of inferiority, it is likely your schooling or Education<\/i><\/b><\/span> has been limited.<\/p>\n

IT PAYS TO KNOW HOW TO PURCHASE KNOWLEDGE<\/p>\n

First of all, decide the sort of specialized Knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/span> you require, and the purpose for which it is needed. To a large extent your major purpose in life, the goal toward which you are working, will help determine what Knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/span> you need.<\/p>\n

With this question settled, your next move requires that you have accurate information concerning dependable sources of Knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/span>. The more important of these are:<\/p>\n

a) One\u2019s own experience and Education<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

b) Experience and Education<\/i><\/b><\/span> available through cooperation of others (Master Mind Alliance)<\/p>\n

c) Colleges and Universities<\/p>\n

d) Public Libraries (Through books and periodicals in which may be found all the knowledge organized by civilization)<\/p>\n

e) Special Training Courses (Through night schools and home study schools in particular.)<\/p>\n

As Knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/span> is acquired it must be organized and put into use, for a definite purpose, through practical plans. Knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/span> has no value except that which can be gained from its application toward some worthy end. This is one reason why college degrees are not valued more highly. They represent nothing but miscellaneous Knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Knowledge vs. Education<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

If you contemplate taking additional schooling, first determine the purpose for which you want the Knowledge<\/span><\/b><\/span> you are seeking, then learn where this particular sort of Knowledge<\/span><\/b><\/span> can be obtained, from reliable sources.<\/p>\n

Successful men, in all callings, never stop acquiring specialized Knowledge<\/span><\/b><\/span> related to their major purpose, business, or profession. Those who are not successful<\/span><\/i> usually make the mistake of believing that the Knowledge<\/span><\/b><\/span> acquiring period ends when one finishes school. The truth is that schooling does but little more than to put one in the way of learning how to acquire practical Knowledge<\/span><\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Please understand that the changed economic conditions prevailing for most of the past decade, are making it necessary for thousands of people to find additional, or new sources of income. For the majority of these, the solution to their problem may be found only by acquiring specialized Knowledge<\/span><\/b><\/span>. Many will be forced to change their occupations entirely.<\/p>\n

Due to the ever changing impact of new technologies, Education<\/span><\/b><\/span> will provide less than the needs of those of us who are older, and well past our school days.<\/p>\n

Hinges on your true desire and commitment. If you are seeking to be a true professional, you are undoubtedly going to meet certain requirements subject to various levels of Education<\/b><\/span>. However once you meet your needed fulfillment in those areas, your true success will still rest on your acquisition and compliance with the very finest sort of training and options available you on DECISION, PROMPTNESS, ACTION and THE HABIT OF FINISHING THAT WHICH ONE BEGINS.
