Absolutely, as revealed in the Inspirational Story in the video above. This man was born without legs or arms and has become a blessing to all who hear him speak. He is a true inspiration to anyone. He does not let his situation keep him from living life to the fullest. He inspires all those who are struggling . . . giving people hope where there is none.<\/p>\n
Speaking to an audience of teens, he inspires them to tears and makes them laugh. Entertaining yet sparks a fire of light in your soul that flames that desire you know you can achieve anything.<\/p>\n

Lying paralyzed from chest down in the ICU \u2026 Gone from Ultra Marathon Runner to almost giving up your last breathe but your still alive! For 10 Days, all you can see is the ceiling of your hospital room while your head is in traction with 17 lb weight pulling on your neck to align the vertebra before surgery. This is my husband.<\/p>\n
Waiting at home for my husband to return from a long trip, we were going on a date to celebrate his home coming. Until I got the call from the hospital, he\u2019s been in bad accident and at the ER. I rushed to hospital and to my shock he was paralyzed from the chest down. He was soon transferred to a hospital that was more equipped for his type of injury. I rode in the Ambulance to transfer my husband some 45 miles.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh please move my leg, it\u2019s under me\u201d and I would say no it\u2019s totally straight. He would go over this 50 times before he was to be moved to ICU. I was exhausted standing and trying to help but really there was nothing I could do to make him more comfortable.<\/p>\n
The ICU told me to wait in the waiting room while the Doctors put the head gear on by drilling two holes in his skull to attach the halo that would have 17 pounds of weight attached to move vertebra back in place. It\u2019s important to be positive while attending my husband and I would always be upbeat and do all I could to help him. The ICU allowed me to stay in the room with my husband night and day.<\/p>\n
\u201cHope keeps our minds at ease, lowers stress and improves physical health. Researchers studying heart-disease patients found that optimists were more likely than non-optimistic patients to take vitamins, eat low-fat diets and exercise, thereby reducing their overall coronary risk. They set up a morphine button that would give him pain medication every 10 minutes but the only problem is my husband could not push the button. So I would do it around the clock . . . day and night. I know the strength to care for my husband came from above.<\/p>\n I was so THANKFUL that he was alive it didn\u2019t dawn on me that the reason they let me stay in ICU was because he was considered to be at the brink of death. I was living on the MIRACLE that he was ALIVE and didn\u2019t die at the time of the accident that any thoughts of this happening now didn\u2019t even enter my mind. What a God send.<\/p>\n Happy Nurses would come in and work so hard to adjust his pillows etc to help with the pain. They were so diligent and caring plus fun. They mentioned that they were told not to be so happy as people are seriously ill here. I told them, \u201cYou can be happy in our room all you want, we love it.\u201d Isn\u2019t laughter good medicine? Yes. We were lifted in spirits and comforted through these nurses giving such good care and being so happy. No matter what the situation you can REJOICE! It has a calming effect and makes you feel better.<\/p>\n One of my favorite verses, \u201cRejoice in the Lord Always and Again I say Rejoice\u201d \u2026 Phil 4:13<\/p>\n The Bible teaches Positive Thinking<\/strong> and it is such a blessing. We can give our trials to him and he will get us through plus be a blessing to others in the process.<\/p>\n It didn\u2019t seem real . . . here I was in the hospital . . . my husband is totally paralyzed in serious pain and I was all alone. My kids were in Alaska 1000\u2032s of miles away and I get this call from my children and they have booked flights to us in days. This really touched my heart and lifted me up so much. It was like they reached down from Alaska and wrapped their arms around me.<\/p>\n It was going to be okay. I know my prayers were answered and I was going continue to be a positive thinker cause I know God\u2019s hears me.<\/p>\n On Day 5, the neurosurgeon walks in the ICU room, and announces, \u201cCongrats, you will have a full recovery.\u201d My husband was moving his right leg and getting feeling back before surgery.<\/p>\n I know that surgeon was a blessing and they just don\u2019t say things.<\/p>\n In fact, rarely do they make statements like this for a spinal cord injury . . .<\/p>\n Because they don\u2019t give false hope.<\/p>\n This was a huge LIGHT that shined in our souls. Hope at this point was so encouraging.<\/p>\n No matter what your situation positive thinking<\/em> and the drive to reach for your goals will determine your outcome.
