England win the first Ashes test match in England<\/h2>\n

Wow, what an end.<\/p>\n

Australia just lost the first Ashes test in England by ONLY 14 runs. It was a real scare for England after such a long last wicket partnership from Australia again.<\/p>\n

Disappointment is apparent. Australia has lost on English soil yet again\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

In truth, England deserved to win, they DOMINATED<\/strong> throughout the test match.<\/p>\n

Both teams kinda sucked at batting through the whole match but there was so much CONTROVERSY<\/strong> throughout the match as well.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what the BBC reported:<\/p>\n

James Anderson was England\u2019s final-day hero as the hosts held their nerve to complete an astonishing 14-run victory over Australia in an unforgettable climax to the opening Ashes Test.<\/p>\n

Amid unbearable tension, Australia\u2019s final pair of Brad Haddin and James Pattinson took the tourists to the brink of victory with a partnership of 65.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

There were two notable incidents<\/strong><\/span> from the test match. Both were incidents regarding bad umpiring decisions.<\/p>\n

First controversial decision: Johnathan Trott is given out<\/h2>\n

Basically, he was given out when he shouldn\u2019t have been.<\/p>\n

The hot-spot creator even came out and apologised\u2026read on\u2026<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the inventor of the Hot Spot system apologised for an \u201coperator error\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHere is the absolute truth from our perspective in regard to the Trott incident,\u201d Warren Brennan told the cricinfo website.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was operator error. My operator did not trigger the system in order to cater for the Trott delivery.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Second controversial decision: Stuart Broad is given not out after a clear edge on the ball.<\/h2>\n

This is just one of those things. It was an umpire mistake. The main thing it was a bad one,one of the worst for a while.<\/p>\n

So what should Australia do now?<\/h3>\n

I have put some points together of what I think Australia should do now after the first AshesTest:<\/p>\n

  • We can take heart that we are playing a good style of cricket. I mean that under our new coach the players appear to be enjoying themselves again. The best performances come when a sportsperson is relaxed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • We have found Ashton Agar (video from 7 News Australia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Finally Even though England won the first test match, we still have 4 tests left<\/strong>\u00a0PLUS<\/strong> another Ashes series on home soil coming up in November!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        So to all the disappointed Aussies out there, stick with it and let\u2019s see what we can do to the \u2018bloody poms\u2019 at Lords.<\/span><\/p>\n
