Now that may seem a very strange headline for a blog post<\/a> but \u201cA Local Global Business<\/strong>\u201d is actually the strap line of HSBC Bank and their whole advertising campaign is based around helping local businesses go global.<\/p>\n

The headline for this blog post \u2013 A Local Global Business<\/em> came about when Susan was interviewing a colleague Carol Douthitt and heard her story about how she started her first business as a child making and selling lemonade.<\/p>\n

\u00a0We don\u2019t watch TV a great deal but we do remember the very inspiring advert of the little girl who buys lemons and sets up a lemonade stall outside her home and the follow on adverts show her expanding her business globally.\u00a0 Great concept and actually with Empower Network it is totally possible to have a local global business.<\/p>\n

Susan got to thinking about here first steps as an entrepreneur selling roses Aged 8 outside her parents home \u2026.. that\u2019s another story to be told another time.<\/p>\n

What we loved about Carol\u2019s Story was that she although successful, at one time she lost it all but that didn\u2019t deter her.\u00a0 She discovered the internet just like we did (although a lot earlier when it was in its infancy) and had to learn the hard way how to build a list and to make money online.<\/p>\n
