Where am I ?<\/span><\/h3>\nI live in Gorgeous (Cd\u2019A) Coeur d\u2019 Alene, Idaho, ho, ho<\/span><\/strong> about 2 Hrs south of the Canadian border.\u00a0 The panhandle of Idaho is simply 1 big park<\/strong> \u2013 with lakes (large & small), ski mountains, forests (where wildlife abounds), biking & walking trails, ranches, villages & towns, perfect summer weather, Christmas snow that sparkles & majestic sunset & sunrise skies !<\/p>\nThis is where I<\/span> used to live<\/span> outside of Cd\u2019A, on a hill top:<\/span><\/p>\n from my front porch<\/strong><\/p>\n this sunset makes it look like fire in the sky<\/strong><\/p>\nwhen the sunset reflects off the water, it turns the Lake rose color<\/strong><\/p>\nmore on \u201cPics\u201d tab<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nI seriously Love & am Grateful for WHERE ever<\/span><\/strong> I live.\u00a0 Nature & animals have always been a large part of my life.\u00a0 These are pictures of my current home<\/span><\/span>, for the past 4 Yrs.<\/p>\nLife in My yard:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\na<\/strong> baby deer born at the rear corner of my back yard (where you can\u2019t see) \u2013 <\/strong>just a few Hrs old<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\na close up of Adam, Adam \u2013 our Wild neighborhood Peacock<\/strong><\/p>\nhe often perches on my roof to get a bird\u2019s eye view\u00a0 +\u00a0 enjoy the sun & feel safe while resting<\/strong><\/p>\n doing his Dance in the backyard<\/strong><\/p>\n at kitchen steps \u201ccalling for his special seeds\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\nmore on \u201cPics\u201d tab<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nMy History\u2026<\/span><\/h3>\nI\u2019m absolutely an older, wiser Lady<\/strong>, with a 40 year old \u201ccan do\u201d Spirit<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 Born in the San Francisco Bay area<\/span> of CA.\u00a0 My parents also had a little log cabin in the Santa Cruz mountains<\/span>, so I literally grew up part of my life in Oakland & part in Boulder Creek, CA<\/p>\nI was an only-child, adopted<\/span> by middle-class parents who were about 40.\u00a0 Grew up, as an extremely physically fit tomboy, in a racially mixed neighborhood with very few friends.\u00a0 In the mountains I always took long strolls alone thru the forest, playing with nature \u2013 also meeting & playing with the animals I came across.\u00a0 Basically I was a loner & appreciated it !!!<\/p>\nMy 1st<\/sup> marriage was at 18, my 2nd<\/sup> was at 43 & both lasted about 7 Yrs.\u00a0 Have been truly Blessed forever\u00a0 +\u00a0 all the men in my life were incredible people<\/strong> & I still appreciate all of them<\/span>.\u00a0 This was taken after my 2nd divorce \u2013 when I became \u201c50 + Fabulous & Free\u201d<\/p>\nAt age 18 I gave birth to a baby girl<\/strong> that was put up for adoption<\/span>.\u00a0 In Nov 2011 she found me\u2026..<\/strong> in 1 day, via an Adoption Search Angel<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 I\u2019m Very Proud of her<\/span><\/strong> \u2026.. she turned out to be a FINE Lady !<\/strong>\u00a0 & we now have a Great relationship !!<\/p>\nStarted working at age 18 & have had an enormous<\/span> variety of jobs<\/strong>:\u00a0 office, restaurant, owned 2 businesses (house cleaning service & yard maintenance = manicured the forest), lots of physical labor work & several different types of sub-contractor jobs\u00a0 + \u00a0 businesswoman.\u00a0 But a few of my all time favorites were:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n1- choke-setter in the redwood forest<\/p>\n
2- after-hours phone job at the Sugarloaf Mt Ski Resort, in Maine, just south of Montreal Canada \u2013 where I got free lessons, lifts & equipment.\u00a0 At times it got to 100 degrees BELOW 0 at the top of the Mt !
\n<\/em><\/p>\n3- renting out cabanas & umbrellas on Clearwater Beach, FL<\/p>\n
4- 1 of a 2 man team at very fancy restaurant near Coral Gables, FL \u2013 at the time The President used to eat there.<\/em><\/p>\n5-<\/p>\n
6- 1\u00a0 of my Best Jobs ever: <\/strong><\/p>\nJust a few Yrs ago, had the pleasure of driving the Blue Bunny Ice Cream Truck<\/strong> all around the Cd\u2019A area.\u00a0 No one could ever script what the children said.\u00a0 They were absolutely hilarious !!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n me serving a local daycare center<\/strong><\/p>\n neighborhood kids are the \u201cIce Cream Truck Posse\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\nAlso went around the world for several months<\/strong> in winter during the late 60\u2019s, spending a month in India<\/strong> & there I learned a lot !\u00a0 My husband & I were very giving people with much love for humanity.\u00a0 But during a train ride, at the 1st<\/sup> village stop, \u201cwallas\u201d<\/strong> (merchants) came to the train windows with their food treats.\u00a0 Almost everyone in our car bought something \u2013 including us.\u00a0 We didn\u2019t<\/span> know<\/strong> this would happen at EVERY village stop<\/span>, so we put the food in our bag to save for later.<\/p>\nWHAT WE LEARNED about hospitality:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 literally everyone else in that car IMMEDIATELY opened their parcels of food & handed it to us & the others<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 so it was passed around for ALL<\/span> to enjoy !<\/strong>\u00a0 This was natural for those folks, who were obviously less fortunate than us.\u00a0 Right then & there, we found out what Serious Hospitality was !!!<\/strong><\/p>\nDuring the 60\u2019s, also lived in Berkeley (in the building of the People\u2019s Park riots<\/em>)\u00a0 +\u00a0 San Francisco (in a cheap Chinese Apt \u00bd block from Nob Hill<\/em>)<\/p>\nThen moved around the U.S. for several years<\/strong> living \/ working in:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n6o\u2019s<\/em><\/span> \u2013 Clearwater Beach for a winter & 70\u2032s \u2013 for a summer in Coral Gables, FL<\/p>\n70\u2032s<\/em><\/span> \u2013 All over central Maine for 3 Yrs \u2013 from the west side to the east<\/em> coast<\/em><\/p>\n80\u2032s<\/em><\/span> \u2013 Sausalito & Petaluma, CA\u00a0 +\u00a0 Gardnerville, NV \u2013 worked at Sharkey\u2019s Casino<\/em><\/p>\n90\u2032s<\/em><\/span> \u2013 Finally settled in Santa Cruz & Valley Springs, CA for awhile.<\/p>\nBut for the 1st<\/sup> 8 Yrs of 2000<\/em><\/span> I moved every 3-6 Mos around CA, ID, NV, MT, UT & TX, because of work.<\/p>\nNow, Excited to be in Coeur d\u2019 Alene for several Yrs !!!<\/strong><\/p>\n
