What she was saying about her<a title=\"Personal Development \u2013 The Power Of Gratitude \u2013 When It Rains\u2026 How Do You Feel?\" href=\"\/awoodfield\/2013\/08\/05\/personal-development-the-power-of-gratitude-when-it-rains-how-do-you-feel\/\" target=\"_blank\"> difficult situation<\/a> reminded me a lot about the principles in one of my favorite books, \u201cOpen Your Mind To Receive\u201d by Catherine Ponder, which talks a lot about the <em>universal law of attraction<\/em> and giving and receiving.<\/p>\n<p>Without going into details about her situation, I made a video for her, reading from very specific parts of the book, and explaining the concepts of the<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"> universal law of attraction<\/span> from my own perspective. I also shared a little bit about my personal story. I decided recently to share this video here in my blog\u2026 You can watch that video below.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Universal Law of Attraction: Key Lessons from \u201cOpen Your Mind To Receive\u201d by Catherine Ponder<\/h2>\n<p>There are a couple of key takeaways that we can learn about the <em>universal law of attraction<\/em> and the law of giving and receiving that were mentioned in my video:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The act of release eliminates stagnant energy from your life, and expands your good. Release opens you up for allowing new things into your life that are relevant to your current state of growth.<\/li>\n<li>Releasing (and forgiving) people and relationships that no longer serve you or add to your life positively opens up the opportunity for new, healthy relationships, and also the opportunity for old relationships to be returned to a harmonious state.<\/li>\n<li>Releasing (and forgiving) people allows for blessings to be received in both your life and in the lives of the people you are releasing and forgiving.<\/li>\n<li>When you encounter dark periods in your life \u2013 welcome these periods and be grateful for them. These dark periods mean that you are in a state of growth and you will soon be experiencing a period of abundance and prosperity in different areas of your life.
