Conflict Management \u2013 How do you respond to others..<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Your relationship with others will\u00a0determine\u00a0how\u00a0you\u00a0will be able to\u00a0influence\u00a0them..<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sheep hear his voice, and He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out\u2026He goes before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. \u00a0And a\u00a0stranger\u00a0they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of a stranger.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sheep Know their Master Intimately.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Shepherd\u00a0knows his sheep and the sheep Trust Him.<\/p>\n

They have built an Intimate Relationship. \u00a0The sheep follow only their Master. \u00a0The Shepherd would not leave even one of His sheep behind.<\/p>\n

In both relationships and business conflicts will arise. \u00a0How you handle these conflicts is of major importance.<\/p>\n

Remember the old adage:<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0One bad apple will spoil the barrel! \u00a0Well it\u2019s true in life as well. \u00a0We need to always be seeking after peace and building relationships built upon mutual trust.<\/p>\n

Learn to be attuned to disruptions and handle them as soon as possible. \u00a0If left unattended they will grow out of portion.<\/p>\n

Just as a mother knows her children, it\u2019s important to be open minded and build relationships with your teams and others so that all conflict can be addressed and shut down as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Ten Steps To Ward Off Conflicts:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. \u00a0Always love people more than opinions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What\u2019s of most importance to you. \u00a0Is it helping or hindering your relationships with others?<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Be Sure To Always Give Others The benefit Of The Doubt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Never rule others with your head knowledge. \u00a0You must learn to be open. \u00a0When working with yourself, use your head, but, when working with others, always use your heart. \u00a0Always give the benefit of the doubt. \u00a0Never assume!<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Flexibility.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good leaders must learn to say, \u201cI\u2019m sorry.\u201d \u00a0Effective leaders will back down. \u00a0The greater the man, the more flexible he must become.<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0Provide A Way Of Escape.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A good leader will back off. \u00a0It takes two to tangle. \u00a0Fighting is of no value. \u00a0The person of value does not have to fight for his own way. \u00a0Pride goeth before a fall. \u00a0When you\u2019re right, you\u2019re right and when you\u2019re wrong, you\u2019re wrong. \u00a0There\u2019s no need for altercation.<\/p>\n

It is a strong leader who allows someone who has been defeated to ease out of a situation and save face.<\/p>\n

5. Be Sure To Check Your Own Attitude.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Example yourself and your motives. \u00a0Is part of the problem You! \u00a0Be honest with yourself. \u00a0If you\u2019re constantly in conflict, then it\u2019s possible that you are the problem.<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Avoid\u00a0Overreacting\u00a0to Conflict.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you expect conflicts, then you will be better prepared to handle them when they come alone. Avoid overreacting at any cost. \u00a0If you don\u2019t have anything good to say, then say nothing at all. \u00a0Be aware that you do not drop a bomb when all you needed was a slingshot.<\/p>\n

7. \u00a0Never Become Defensive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exact moment that you defend yourself, is the same moment that you stand up for your own rights. \u00a0When you do this, be assured that a battle will follow. \u00a0Realize that defensiveness will usually make you look guilty, even when you\u2019re not. \u00a0The bigger person will say \u201cI\u2019m Sorry\u201d even when it\u2019s not their fault. \u00a0Let God handle the battle. \u00a0You be prepared to handle yourself. \u00a0Seek after Peace.<\/p>\n

8. \u00a0Always Welcome Conflict.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Use conflict as a learning\u00a0experience. \u00a0A test to see if you will pass by standing \u201ccalm\u201d. \u00a0Have an attitude of gratitude during and through this conflict. \u00a0It\u2019s usually one of God\u2019s methods to see if you\u2019ve grown in a certain area. \u00a0If you don\u2019t pass, then I\u2019m sorry to say you will go through it again and again until you pass the test by keeping your peace.<\/p>\n

9. \u00a0Be Prepared To Take A Risk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be prepared to get your feelings and pride hurt. \u00a0It comes with the territory. \u00a0You can either build a wall around your feelings, or you can take the challenge to let go and let God work in you His will. \u00a0You must allow yourself to be vulnerable. \u00a0This is not the same as being a door mat. \u00a0Balance. \u00a0We are to love one another. \u00a0In order to grow you must reach out to others in love. \u00a0Remember this: \u00a0I can love you, but, at the same time I don\u2019t necessary like you. \u00a0We may click, but just the same, I have to be willing to help you!<\/p>\n

10. \u00a0Always Believe In The Value Of Others.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you want others to grow, you must make yourself available to them when they need you (again Balance, you are not a babysitter.) Some of the happiest people are people builders and changers. \u00a0Concentrate on being of value to others and God will concentrate on building your\u00a0business\u00a0for you by giving you creative ideas, people, finances, security and love.<\/p>\n

Conflict Management starts within you. \u00a0It first starts by taking you out of your comfort zone and requiring more of you on a daily basis. \u00a0As you release all of these inner conflicts, then you will be able to help, encourage, develop and build up others. \u00a0This is what is required of you. \u00a0You need others and others need you.<\/p>\n
