People are very visual, and nice looking images are pleasing to the eye!\u00a0 Having 1 or 2 images in a 200 \u2013 500 word blog post will make your posts much more attractive!<\/p>\n<p>This includes videos! <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Video_blog\" target=\"_blank\">Vlogging<\/a> is becoming very popular, because of the marketing strategy, <a href=\"\/autumnrose\/blog\/business-tip-of-the-day-attraction-marketing\/?id=autumnrose\" target=\"_blank\">Attraction Marketing<\/a>.\u00a0 Adding a video in your post will also count as one of your images.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"\/autumnrose\/files\/2013\/06\/blog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-351 aligncenter\" alt=\"blog\" src=\"\/autumnrose\/files\/2013\/06\/blog-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"\/><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>#2 \u2013 Links<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Add back links, as well as internal links.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What is the difference between those two?<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Back Link<\/strong> will link to a website that navigates away from your website. Ex \u2013 click on the link above \u201c<em>Vlogging<\/em>\u201c.\u00a0 I actually linked that to the Wikipedia website. This will increase the search quality of your <strong>blog<\/strong> posts, when someone is searching for the topic that you have written about. It also adds credibility to your reader, as well as to Google.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Internal Link<\/strong> will link to another page within your own website or blogsite.\u00a0 Ex \u2013 click on the link above <em>\u201cAttraction Marketing\u201d<\/em>. That is linked to another <a href=\"\/autumnrose\/blog\/category\/btd-business-tip-of-the-day\/?id=autumnrose\" target=\"_blank\">Business Tip of the Day<\/a> post about Attraction Marketing that I wrote. This keeps people engaged on your website, ultimately building relationships and giving your reader more compelling content.<\/p>\n<p>*Tip \u2013 Always make sure it opens in a new window. All you do is check the box\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 that states \u201copen in new window\u201d when you make the hyper-link.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>#3 \u2013 Less is More<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Generally speaking keep it shorter! People are busy and want good content, but in less time. SO learn to write posts in 200 \u2013 600 words.\u00a0 By the time I am done with this post, it will be about 600 words.\u00a0 My average post is about 400 words.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously there are exceptions. But for the average reader Less IS More!\u00a0 I know I am certainly that way when I read blog posts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ffff00\">#4 \u2013 Blog with Colors &amp; Chunks<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffff00\">Keeping<\/span> it <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">colorful<\/span> will KEEP your readers attention, and colors <em>please<\/em> the eye!\u00a0 Notice each of the 5 headlines are colored.\u00a0 Although, as with your content, the amount of color you add also holds the same standard <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u201cless is more\u201d<span style=\"color: #333333\">.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ffff00\">Yellow<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Red<\/span>, and <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Blue<\/span> are three colors that are great to use!\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also, using <strong>Bold<\/strong>&#8211; even in black with specific words that you want to <strong>stand out <\/strong>makes a post attractive.<\/p>\n<p>Write in CHUNKS. Space your paragraphs double, even triple sometimes!\u00a0 That is \u201cwriting in Chunks\u201d.\u00a0 Double space your sentences as well. What I mean by that is, click the space bar twice after each punctuation mark at the ending of a sentence.\u00a0 Also, write shorter paragraphs, about 1 \u2013 3 sentences long.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>#5 \u2013 Borrowing Blog content<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you have a subject that you are going to blog about. Read other content and \u201cborrow\u201d paragraph\u2019s from <em>here<\/em> and <em>there<\/em>. This is especially helpful when you are first learning how to blog.\u00a0 However, <strong>be careful<\/strong>, you need to learn about copy write laws before attempting to borrow too much content.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>#6 \u2013 Call 2 Action!<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ending your posts with some sort of \u201cCall to Action\u201d will keep your readers engaged with you even more.\u00a0 If you have something to sell, lead them to the next step to learn more about that product\/service.<\/p>\n<p>For example, I sell Viral Blogging platforms.
