We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the\u00a0Lord\u00a0has laid on him the iniquity of us all.<\/p>\n<h3>Crucifixion of Jesus for the sins of man\u2026. HE took our sins, He gave up His spirit. Those who saw what happened (even though they were not people of faith) realized that He was the Son of God!<\/h3>\n<p>Matthew 27: 50-54 (NIV)<\/p>\n<p><sup>50\u00a0<\/sup>And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.<\/p>\n<p><sup>51\u00a0<\/sup>At that moment the curtain of the temple\u00a0was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split\u00a0<sup>52\u00a0<\/sup>and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.\u00a0<sup>53\u00a0<\/sup>They came out of the tombs after Jesus\u2019 resurrection and\u00a0went into the holy city\u00a0and appeared to many people.<\/p>\n<p><sup>54\u00a0<\/sup>When the centurion and those with him who were guarding\u00a0Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, \u201cSurely he was the Son of God!\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>The Tomb of Jesus was Secured by the word of Pilate- By a seal that would have meant death for someone to \u201cbreak it\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Matthew 27:65 (NIV)<\/p>\n<p><sup>65\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTake a guard,\u201d\u00a0Pilate answered. \u201cGo, make the tomb as secure as you know how.\u201d\u00a0<sup>66\u00a0<\/sup>So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal\u00a0on the stone\u00a0and posting the guard.<\/p>\n<h3>Jesus Has Risen<\/h3>\n<p>Matthew 28:1-8<\/p>\n<p>After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene\u00a0and the other Mary\u00a0went to look at the tomb.<\/p>\n<p><sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>There was a violent earthquake,\u00a0for an angel\u00a0of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone\u00a0and sat on it.\u00a0<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.\u00a0<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.<\/p>\n<p><sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>The angel said to the women, \u201cDo not be afraid,\u00a0for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.\u00a0<sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.\u00a0Come and see the place where he lay.\u00a0<sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>Then go quickly and tell his disciples: \u2018He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.\u00a0There you will see him.\u2019 Now I have told you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.\u00a0<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>Suddenly Jesus met them.\u00a0\u201cGreetings,\u201d\u00a0he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.\u00a0<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>Then Jesus said to them,\u00a0\u201cDo not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers\u00a0to go to Galilee; there they will see me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>I am humbled to know that Jesus loves me (and you) so much that He was willing to be crucified and die such a terrible death to save me (and you) from sin! He accepted separation from His Father until He rose again! \u00a0Don\u2019t let his gift be for nought in your life! He died for our sins and there is nothing we can do to earn salvation, BUT we can accept His gift and believe that He is the Son of God and that He died for us and that He rose from the grave, beating death!
