I heard this analogy from an audio from Holton Buggs, I think, he said, \u201cif you think you found a gold mine somewhere, wouldn\u2019t you tell your family or closest friends about it first?\u201d Yeah, you can tell them, but would they believe you?\u00a0 Most would say, \u201cProve it to me first.\u201d\u00a0 Now, in hindsight, I look at the things I have done in my life that posed as challenges.\u00a0 (Encouragement would have been better).\u00a0 So, if they say, I can\u2019t do it or accomplish it, I\u2019d say on the inside, \u201cWatch me, I\u2019ll figure it out\u201d. So I don\u2019t just surprise them, I even surprise myself.\u00a0 I finished college, worked through it in 6 years.\u00a0 And then five years later, I decided to go to graduate school and I also finished my master\u2019s degree, worked through it in 2 years (while raising a family) \u2013 my master\u2019s degree more than doubled my income then, as I was able to provide for my family \u2013 sole breadwinner.\u00a0 I migrated to another country and had to start from scratch.\u00a0 (I\u2019ll blog about that someday).\u00a0 Ten years later, I recognized there was a learning gap on a field I was interested in for personal reasons, so I finished a one year program in eight months.\u00a0 Sadly, NOBODY had faith in me that I could juggle all that, and I did.\u00a0 Yes, I got challenged, I set goals and I accomplished them, so what?\u00a0 Did it do anything to my bank account?\u00a0 THAT is the bottom line.<\/p>\n
That is why when I saw this Empower Network<\/a> Business model?\u00a0 Yes, I know it will work for those who will WORK IT.\u00a0 So I sent that email<\/strong>.\u00a0 I finished my bachelor\u2019s degree and it didn\u2019t lay out a step by step guideline on how to put money in my bank account like this system and modality explains.\u00a0 That\u2019s what we all need.\u00a0 I have an MBA but there is now that other vehicle called the \u201cInternet\u201d and a new module to learn called internet marketing.\u00a0 Now in hindsight, what do some professors know about the actual day to day of life, when all they teach are theories?\u00a0 They are okay with what they do and okay with their pay grade, and good for them.\u00a0 The vast majority though look for more.\u00a0 And all scammers know this \u2013 they take advantage of an obvious need of the vast majority.\u00a0 But you can\u2019t call a business a scam until you can say that with certainty \u2013 because you have been IN it.\u00a0 What else can they do to supplement their income?\u00a0 Times constantly evolve.\u00a0 I have been, in another career, involved in scientific market research \u2013 doing the \u201cgrunt\u201d work of offline marketing conducting actual market surveys and was surrounded by like-minded individuals involved in research (I had a colleague who diversified into anthropology, and while I surveyed people, she surveyed the fish population and would actually go scuba diving \u2013 deep into the waters and stay there for hours and document the behavior of fish).\u00a0 In my recent post-graduate studies, in one of my courses on epidemiology (the study of disease in populations), I\u2019ve learned about how much things have changed, but how basic principles and understanding those foundations have been \u201cautomated\u201d to make things faster.\u00a0 Who made those things possible?\u00a0 Scientists in collaboration with I.T. people.<\/p>\n In biostatistics, we all have to know the formulas and calculate EVERYTHING by hand AT FIRST, some of the examinations were only 10 questions, but the answer for each item would fill about 12 to 15 pages of calculations written by hand \u2013 the training is so that your brain knows how you should arrive at your final answers, know the logic behind the formula, so that when you are actually faced with all of these numbers, and you find an error somewhere, you could track back through your calculations and see where you went wrong.\u00a0 And then now imagine converting that foundational knowledge into software. I.T. people.\u00a0 Who runs the internet?\u00a0 I.T. People.<\/p>\n One comment I got was, \u201cdid you write that email<\/em>, or did someone write it for you?\u201d.\u00a0 Huh?\u00a0 Why? What did you think of the email<\/u>?\u00a0 \u201clike a copywriter wrote it \u2013 I ended up going to that Empower Network<\/a> website to check it out!\u201d\u00a0 I just about laughed right out loud.\u00a0 And so I said \u201cyes I wrote it\u201d, because I did, and I advised him, \u201cno, don\u2019t sign up, you got to be 100% with your decision and think about it if you need to, don\u2019t base your decision on what I have to say.\u00a0 You have to make it your own decision.\u00a0 I just wanted to let you know that \u201cit\u2019s there when you are ready.\u201d\u00a0 like it was there when I decided to go into it.<\/p>\n
