There is nothing inherently wrong with the Corporate Ladder, in my opinion. Many people make decent livings with the Corporate Ladder.<\/p>\n
However, is that what you want? Do you want to work 40 hours a week (though these days unpaid overtime seems to be the new 40) and become one of the many who can hardly survive off their diminishing pension?<\/p>\n
The chances are, you just want to provide for your family. These days, anything outside of that is sometimes seen as an unnecessary luxury.<\/p>\n
Unnecessary, perhaps. But why not get it if you can?<\/p>\n
Just ask yourself: What sort of lifestyle do you want? Rather than making your lifestyle cater to your career, why not make your career cater to your lifestyle?<\/p>\n
All you need to do is to climb the ladder whose top gets you to where you want to go. How do you know where the ladder leads? See if there\u2019s anyone who has climbed that ladder, and look at their lifestyle. Don\u2019t just look at what they have. Look at who they are\u2013are they good people? Charitable? Good leaders? Those are good questions to ask about the top of the ladder.<\/p>\n
Second: How do you know that ladder will work for you? Again, see other people who have climbed that ladder. See if their steps to the top are duplicatable. See if you can do it. Their method may not be easy, but if it\u2019s simple, then why not give it a try?<\/p>\n
\nAsk yourself this: what\u2019s in store for you at the top of your ladder? If that\u2019s not where you want to go, why are you climbing that ladder?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
It\u2019s important to keep yourself open-minded when it comes to this process. Just because society has raised you to think one way, doesn\u2019t mean that anything that breaks the mold is wrong<\/em>\u00a0or unethical. I encourage you to do all of your due diligence of course! But don\u2019t just shrug it off because it has a bad MyWOT rating (to put into perspective, some torrent sites have a good<\/em>\u00a0MyWOT rating, so there\u2019s that), or because some organization is against it.<\/p>\n
Just do your own due diligence, and never agree with a bottom line if their arguments don\u2019t make sense or if you simply don\u2019t agree with their arguments.<\/p>\n
Whatever it is, find the right ladder, and do everything you can to climb to the top of that ladder.<\/p>\n
